Linda Barkey, 53-year-old Spearfish woman has been arrested and faces a minimum of 15 years in prison on each of 12 counts of rape a Lawrence County grand jury has filed against her. Barkey allegedly engaged in various forms of sexual acts with an 8-year-old male from September 2006 to February 2007.
There are four additional counts of sexual contact with a minor in the indictment.
Court files indicate that Barkey was arrested May 19 and made a first appearance in magistrate court Wednesday, May 20.
