Our kids are dieing every day over in the middle east and they do not dseserve that. Yet there is no indication that they will be returned in the next 100 years or as long as there is a EURASIA.

"MAJORITY DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL THE MINORITY WHAT TO DO"
Nearly every time I see someone claiming activist judge (court), it is when the court is serving its role and preventing the tyranny of the masses against the minority.

Except that now it seems that the tyranny of the few is being validated by the courts...go figure, huh?

Aaron Russo was WAY before his time... Back when it was ok to be in the John Birch Society, I remember seeing 1000's in line for his "concerts" but now, sadly, with the rise of the Neo-Cons and Liberalism/Progressivism Aaron Russo's message will probably never be heard...

Aaron Russo had everything to lose and nothing to gain but, the fact in knowing that common everyday people knew just how corrupt this government really is. He had everything.
When he question David Rockefeller asking him why were they trying to turn the world into a prison planet, Rockefeller ask him," why do you care"? He answered, "because I'm an American".
Aaron Russo was a true American.

Yeah... this whole "America is a republic and not a democracy" business is pretty much just high school level civics. I'm not hearing much interesting here.
Comments about "stupid" people who need to "wake up" because they are somehow afraid of the truth, and trite sayings about power and people do nothing to move me.
Also, i don't really buy this definition of freedom either. I think Funkadelic said it best: "Freedom is free of the need to be free."

word.
I remember my Jr. High history teacher telling my class about how our government is actually a republic. I can't stand alarmists who act like they're exposing the greatest conspiracy of all time, that just happens to in no way be a secret.
and to the republic for which it stands
Winston Churchill once said "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter."
I have a feeling if he were still alive he'd add an *see teh intarnets

Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. And that is the problem, people do not want to hear the truth.
They don't want to hear that through thier stupidity; through voting these people into power and not holding them accountable, that this is why we are in the situation that we are in today.
Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. - We need to put the power back into the hands of the people.
People should not be afraid of their government, government should be afraid of their people!
