According to a recent survey, people in the media, publishing and entertainment are Britain's heaviest drinkers, consuming an average of 44 units a week. Nearly a third (29%) of media and IT workers also said they sometimes felt pressurised to drink by their colleagues.

The same poll found people working in education, transport and travel are the country's most moderate drinkers, consuming an average of 24 units per week.

What do you think of these figures? Do they look accurate to you?

    • I'm really glad that people working in transport and education aren't at the top of this list. I'm off to the pub to celebrate the news. Drinks anyone?

    • Mmm - I wonder how much is work related though? Media, publishing & entertainment industry people will end up drinking a lot more than teachers & people in the travel industry as they will actually be entertaining for work. But if the figures are purely social, it's a bit worrying.
