A girl frog and a boy frog were married to one another in a ceremony on Monday that the locals hope will bring an early and plentiful monsoon.
Villagers in northeastern Assam were so fed up with the lack of rainfall that they decided to snare the lucky amphibians and perform the ceremony that in Hindu folklore is meant to please the rain god Barun Devata.
The loved up frogs were dressed in clothes and traditional jewelry and tied the knot in front of a Hindu priest.

This is awesome. Gays can't get hitched, but frogs can!

India is known for doing many weird things! But I do really find some things in Hinduism very beautiful in a lot of ways! You'd never see anything like this story with other cultures & religions!

Most couples hope their wedding night makes the earth move. These two poor things have got the added pressure of creating a monsoon.
