Spain's Queen Sofia recently flew with Irish budget airline Ryanair for a princely sum of 13 squid - it was revealed today in the Daily Mail.
The article didn't say whether that included all fees and charges. The 70-year-old queen usually uses Spain's national carrier Iberia, but they don't fly between the northern Spanish city of Santander and London.
"The reason was not the cost or the company but that it was the best option" - a palace spokesman told AFP.
"Ryanair is Spain's second largest airline and all Ryanair passengers are treated like Kings and Queens at Europe's lowest prices," said a cheeky chappy from the Marmite airline.
The YouTube clip has the Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary talking about offering blow jobs on transatlantic flights, has nothing to do with Queen Sofia (fortunately!)

Turns out Ryanair couldn't resist using Queen Sofia in an ad campaign. Unfortunately they didn't ask her permission first and one's not amused!

13 squid? Where can I fish some? Do they have to be whole squids or will just tentacles be accepted?

Vierotchka:
Squid = quid = £1 = $1.65
My laptop messed up, I could't find the '£' symbol - so went with English slang instead! :D
