27-year old Yasmina Siadatan has been hired by Sir Alan Sugar to take on a £100,000 job at his company, beating Brummie Kate Walsh (and my favourite contestant) to the post.
Both women competed with the help of all the past contestants, who were given the pointing finger and a firm firing from Sir Alan in previous episodes in this series, to create a new brand of chocolates which they had to pitch to a roomful of industry experts.
And after all that grafting, Yasmina's been rewarded with a bafflingly boring job; something to do with "digital signage" in doctor's waiting rooms. These Apprentice jobs are just like when the Wizard of Oz is finally revealed as a blustered old man hiding behind a curtain. All that work and Sir Alan ends up giving them a rubbish job in the Amstrad computer recycling department or looking after screens that heroin addicts squint at in confusion while waiting for the nurse to bring their methadone top up.
And Kate's was clearly the better contestant and seemed to be on the home straight for the last three or so shows at least.
Anyone else surprised? Leave a comment or jump on your webcam, let me know and we'll use the best in Mondays episode of Webmash (8pm, Current TV).

If the "female loathing sir A..didn't rate Kate" then how come she got through to the final, after seven guys bit the dust in her wake.....
Methinks that Sir A has an eye for the pretty girls - witness Michelle Dewbury in series 2.

.... Vile , vacuous , bullshitting slag
Even the female loathing sir A .. didn't rate Kate.
A dish mop with some dentures on stick would have been a better contestant and spokesperson for the ''Reversal of all matters of equality'' on spaceship prat ... in which k obviously has a glowing future..

ok 2 points. Firstly Kate's not a brummie, she comes from Staffordshire and lives in Hampshire, and secondly, I'd be quite happy to clean out Sir Alan's Executive toilet three times a day for a hundred grand a year....

This "dream" job is basically ad sales isn't it? Ad sales for screens in hospitals. I really like Yasmina so hopefully she'll take the money, and the experience, and either move on up quickly, or leave and start her own brilliant business... I liked her line when she was asked about how she felt about the job which was something like "I'm really pleased to have won, and I'm sure whatever Sir Alan has chosen for me to do is the best decision" basically "sounds awful but god (Sir Alan) works in mysterious ways".

I keep seeing Yasmina in Stoke Newington in London - yesterday: jogging past the town hall with a rather attractive man. She has large eyes and is actually quite tall.
ithankyou.

I was kept glued to last night's episode less for the battle between Yasmina and Kate and more to see if Yasmina's sour face ever cracked into a smile.
But I was heartened by the glowing reports both teams gave to their respective PMs last night. See reality TV doesn't have to be evil and rude!

Predictions from the viewers peaked at 74% in kates victory, most people didn't see it coming. And over the course of the episode i noticed the prediction meter favouring Kate even more. But, I do think they were both suited for the job.

it was so close, but although i thought Kate had the edge, i think she made a grave error charging so much for her chocolates. HIghlight for me was Ruby Wax's joke about nick smearing chocolate on margeret's face. it was genius.
