For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health? Not for Melanie Sykes it would seem. The former star of Des & Mel (FYI, she was Mel) has been granted a divorce in a court hearing that lasted less than 30 seconds (looks like the Daily Mail reporter brought a stopwatch with him).

Whatever happened to simply claiming 'irreconcilable differences'? Is 'my husband doesn't earn enough' really a legitimate reason for a divorce in this country?
