Robin Pickering, 44-year-old language arts teacher at East Clinton Middle School in Lees Creek, Ohio was arrested in December 2008 on a charge of sexual battery of 11-year-old female student. Today Pickering pleaded guilty to sexual battery against a student - second-degree felony conviction carries a mandatory prison sentence. Pickering faces a minimum prison term of two years and a maximum of eight years.
Pickering committed the crime of sexual battery against a then 11-year-old student during the time period from Christmas Day 2006 through April 8, 2007.
In a plea document she signed Monday, Pickering admitted engaging in sexual conduct with the female victim. In particular, she admitted digitally penetrating the victim’s vagina and engaging in oral sex.
