Tel Aviv has 936 lawsuits against them for Gaza assault
Israel was set to face an avalanche of war crimes lawsuits from Palestinian lawyers who accused Tel Aviv of dozens of crimes five months after its three week assault on the Gaza Strip, the German daily Der Spiegel reported Saturday.
A group of Palestinian lawyers filed 936 lawsuits against Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) and the cases will soon be heard in Spain's National Court under universal jurisdiction, Iyad al-Alami, head of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), said.
PCHR's attorneys are collecting evidence of human rights violations and war crimes committed against unarmed civilians.

Red Cross urges Israel to let relatives visit prisoners:
"Families of Palestinians detained in Israel, who have been prevented from leaving the Gaza Strip for the past two years, must be allowed to resume visits to their relatives," the ICRC's chief representative in Israel, Pierre Wettach, said in a statement.

Peled Proposes Israeli Sanctions On US
By GIL HOFFMAN and HILARY LEILA KRIEGER
In what may be his most controversial suggestion, Peled recommends intervening in American congressional races to weaken Obama and asking American Jewish donors not to contribute to Democratic congressional candidates. He predicted that this would result in Democratic candidates pressuring Obama to become more pro-Israel. - 2 years ago

As expected, and as we always see here on Current, HighRoller is not interested in the human tragedy and the victims of war. No, he is only interested in the Arab children who were hurt and killed. Never, ever, not even one time, has anyone here ever seen any concern by HighRoller for the dead and wounded Israeli children. Not even one time. This is exactly the way it is with the Arab-Muslims. They do not consider the dead Jewish people to be important or even a news item. Now we can all see clearly who HighRoller's real client is, and why "highRoller" only reports about his hate for the Jewish people. Conviently and purposely, he calls the dead Israeli babies, "Zionists." They hired someone who speaks English fairly well to write for them. However, they forgot to make sure he knows what the word, "retaliation" means.
HighRoller has revealed himself for what he is, an agent sent to propagandize his Muslim-Arab clients. That's why he is so busy writing seven or eight times over for every Current new item about Arabs and the Jewish people."My Response:
I don't wear m grief and humanity on my sleeve....but it is there....I once worked as a nurse....so....
I state facts....not emotion.
Yes, I want peace but I have watched Israel slaughtering people for too many years to HOPE for much from them.
Oh....I am not a HE. I am female......very feminine in fact, and I am not afraid of bullies. I don't shake hands with Israelis, but I have openly corresponded with one Israeli on here......by communicating we might move forward.
I admire the odd Israeli and have attended a lecture that Prof. Illan Pappe (formerly of Haifa University in Israel) was a guest speaker........and I have all his books and I believe if more Israelis had his intellect and humanity the world would be a better place.I am not afraid to say I neither respect nor care for Israeli people........and I sure have met hundreds of them, and therefore am in a position to make that informed statement.

Israeli Soldiers Kill Palestinian Protester:
A Palestinian man has been shot dead by Israeli soldiers during a protest in the West Bank village of Nilin against Israel's separation barrier, Palestinian medics and witnesses have said.
Aqel Srur, 35, died after suffering a gunshot wound to the heart, those at the scene said.
An Israeli military spokesman said that troops in the area has used "riot dispersal means," a term used to include rubber-coated metal bullets although not live ammunition.
Srur died after being evacuated to a hospital in the nearby Palestinian city of Ramallah.
Witnesses said Israeli troops fired tear gas, rubber bullets and possibly live rounds at rock-throwing demonstrators in the village.
Another protester, aged 15, was wounded by the Israeli forces, the medics said.
About 200 people, including Israeli and foreign activists as well as Palestinians, took part in the demonstration.
Activists protesting against Israel's construction of the West Bank barrier have clashed with soldiers nearly every Friday outside Nilin and nearby Bilin for more than two years.
Israel says the projected 723km of steel and concrete walls, fences and barbed wire is needed for security.
The Palestinians view it as a land grab that undermines their right to a state.
To date Israel has built 57 per cent of the projected barrier, most of it inside the occupied West Bank.
The International Court of Justice issued a non-binding resolution in 2004 calling for parts of the barrier inside the West Bank to be torn down and for further construction in the occupied territory to cease.
Israel has ignored the ruling.

Here's a sample of the everyday humiliation:
Two Israeli officers have confessed that soldiers bound, blindfold and beat Palestinian civilians as young as 14 during home raids in the occupied West Bank, the Independent reported on Tuesday, June 9.
"…because it's boring, because you stand there 10 hours, you're not doing anything, so they beat people up," an Israeli sergeant of the Kfir Brigade said in testimonies about abuses against Palestinians during a recent raid on the Hares village.
He asserted that over 150 Palestinians, including teens as young as 14, were bound, blindfolded and detained at the village school for 12 hours.
The sergeant admitted that though the detainees had done nothing wrong, soldiers were harshly beating and abusing them.
"There are people who think you need to tighten the restraints all the way, until no drop of blood will pass from here to there," he said.
"It doesn't take much time until the hands turn blue. There were a lot of people that you know weren't feeling anything."
The worst was when detainees asked to use the bathroom.
"The soldiers who took [them] to the toilet just exploded [over] them with beatings; cursed them with no reason," said the sergeant.
"When they took one Arab to the toilet so that he could urinate, one of them gave him a slap that brought him to the ground," he added.
"He had been handcuffed from behind with a nylon restraint and blindfolded. He wasn't insolent, he didn't do anything to get on anyone's nerves…[it was] just because he's an Arab. He was something like 15 years old."

Why is Spain taking all these cases? They were in line to prosecute the Bush Administration for War Crimes. When did Spain become so anti-American and anti-semitic? Plus if the Jews went against Palestinians in court, in a non-kangaroo court, who do you think would win? This is completely prejudiced, but putting Jewish lawyers against Palestinian lawyers would be like putting the Michael Jordan Bulls against a Wyoming girls basketball team. But in front of a Spanish Magistrate, who would win? Total bullshit, and Spain better get it's shit together or they can shove their Rioja and Garnacha.

Arab-Moslem genocide against Christians and Jews in 84 countiries around the world, is ignored by the Arab-Moslem controlled United Nations. However, the United Nations is suddenly interested only in the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians.
The United Nations is so clearly our enemy. This of course means, that because the United Nations hates America, Obama will soon apologize to the United nations and then throw large sums of money at them. - 2 years ago

Both USA and Israel split the PLO and Palestinians to play one against the other. Israel searches for reasons to stay in Palestine and kill the defenseless Palestinians. Israel is keen to make an anti-Iran coalition with Sunni Arab states. The Obama administration, meanwhile, is trying to promote dialogue with both Iran and Syria , and has reiterated their backing for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Clearly, the Obama administration backs the establishment of a Palestinian state as part of the solution to the Middle East conflict, though Netanyahu, who’s fascist Israel controls the Palestinian territories and the resources there, has yet to endorse the idea. Netanyahu has been vague in public about the scope of any future peace talks. His main right-wing and ultra-Orthodox coalition partners oppose negotiations on the so-called core issues — the borders of a Palestinian state as well as the fate of Jerusalem and Palestinian refugees.

Israel believes in its illegal constructions of settlements in Palestine and genocides of Palestinians. The new Israeli cabinet largely opposes dismantling the outposts despite the fact that Israel agreed to it under the 2003 peace plan “roadmap”. Instead of a two-state solution backed by the US and the EU, Netanyahu is calling for a confusing “triple-track” peace process that includes progress on the political, security and economic front.. Whether Netanyahu clings to the original Zionist aggressive position will have a major bearing on the future course of Obama diplomacy.
On May 18, President Obama met Benjamin Netanyahu, is a conservative who has pointedly stopped short of accepting the idea of a Palestinian state, which is the goal of the president and most other world leaders. There long have been predictions that the first Oval Office meeting between the two leaders would result in a noisy collision, as happened in 1996 when Netanyahu, in his previous term as prime minister, met with President Clinton. During Netanyahu’s visit to the US month, President Obama told him all settlement activity must end and also urged the Israeli leader to accept a Palestinian state and said Israel had an obligation under the 2003 agreement to stop Jewish settlement in the West Bank. Israel would have to respond by halting the construction and expansion of settlements, and agree to withdraw from land taken since 1967. The right of return of Palestinian refugees and the future status of Jerusalem would be negotiated within the framework of the deal. But Israeli foreign minister extremist hawkish Avigdor Lieberman has said the Israeli-Palestinian peace process was at a “dead end”.

SPEAKING OF WAR CRIMES....
Samira Ahmed Jassim, 51, is accused of recruiting more than 80 women to become human bombs, including 28 who actually carried out attacks.
She has apparently confessed to helping to organise the rape of young Iraqi women. Essentially, she got Iraqi soldiers interested in having sex, to rape these women.
She would then play on the shame associated with victims of rape in Iraqi society to convince the women to become suicide bombers as their only means of escape.
Her apparent confession was broadcast widely on Iraqi media, along with a video of Jassim, nicknamed “the mother of believers”, talking about her alleged crimes.

Egypt, Saudis threaten to rescind Arab peace plan:
Egypt and Saudi Arabia have been pressuring U.S. President Barack Obama to set a two-year deadline for an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, and threatening to rescind the Arab peace initiative, Egyptian sources said Tuesday.
=============
The initiative won't wait until your next term," the Egyptian officials warned Obama, and demanded results by the two year deadline.
Saudi King Abdullah communicated the same message to Obama on the eve of the American president's Cairo speech June 4, only using harsher tone and more explicit language than the Egyptian officials.

I thought to myself, who is she, what is her name, what was her favourite colour, her favourite food, her favourite toy. What was the sound of her laughter like? What did she dream of and what made her smile? These things we will never know, but we must all never forget, we must remember her and all the other close to 400 children massacred by Israel. Each one distinct, each one special, each one an individual, each one with the capacity to have changed the world, to have lived their dream, to have had an opportunity to leave their unique mark on this world. So with that thought, I would ask people to remember all the children below in the slideshow, victims of Israeli war criminals, each one. pictured one little girl whom I have picked out of the many photos. Many people will have seen one of the photos of her before, the one where only her small dusty head lies among the rubble of her home, the place she is meant to feel safe. I had always thought that only her small head was left as a stark reminder of her short life, and the crimes against humanity Israel committed in her neighbourhood. However, that photo is but one in three. In fact, she was buried up to her small head in rubble. She was eventually dug out of her very public grave, albeit her small body much to injured to have ever survived.

War Crimes~Hold Them Accountable
War Crimes~Hold Them Accountable
This organisation is called “The Central Commission for Documentation and Pursuit of Israeli War Criminals” set up inside Gaza by the Government and their mission, in short, is to document, record, protect and investigate Israeli war crimes in Gaza in the hopes of bringing legal suits against the War Criminals. You can visit their site and sign up to their mailing list. People should support them; Israel needs to be held accountable for what they did. You can visit them here to read about their missions.
Now, they have several units within this organisation, one of which produces media. Things like videos, movies, etc. The videos are on CD’s; and I have been lucky enough to obtain one. However, as they are on CD, I have no way to get them online at this time, although I am working on that as well. Still, I have managed to extract many of the photos to publish here. They want people to see exactly what the Israeli War Criminals did.

This means that if you attack the murderers you can be sued. Therefore, that means that you can also sue the ones who murdered in the first place. Interesting isn't it?
The terrorists do not dare sue the United Nations for creating Israel. Why not? Because the U.N. ias far too large a body to play with and then lose. The terrorists also do not sue the 22 Arab countires surrounding them for not helping them and for abandoning them for 71 years. Why not? Because then they would have no friends after they become a state. The terrorists do not dare sue the Christian countries for supporting Israel. Why not? Because then it will seem like the Muslims are against the Christians and againthey don't dare start up with so many countries.
So, they take the chicken way out and try to sue Israel for retaliation.
Only the Muslims are allowed to kill and destroy Israel. If Israel dares to fight back and kill Muslims, it's time for lawsuits.

It is really sad and strangely 'old testament' that both sides, the Israeli's and the arabs, need to exact the last ounce of extremism in the name of defense, and have done so in such an open manner.
An open manner that simply defies the consequences that the Palestinian's wish on the Israeli's and the Israeli's wish on the Palestinians.
Can the consequences be put off any longer?
Yes, there may be war crimes that the Israeli's are guilty of, but there are equally heinous crimes against innocents of all countries in the name of 'jihad.' All of those actions and crimes require appropriate consequenses -- to help both sides (and the rest of humanity) that craziness in the guise of 'defense' just will not work (no matter what Limbaugh and Cheney say)
I, personally, know only enough of the conflict to instantly identify the inhumanity and insanity of it.

There is too much that I know, I do not know.
And at this time, it cannot be resolved in the side-taking.
They have to specify a set of agreements and go about living with them.
All states need to be coherent governments that have control and responsibility for their territories.I understood that Palestine was the only real sticking point.
I thought, perhaps therefore, that Palestine could be declared a religious free zone, akin to a United Nations of Peace. Something like where the Vatican is separate from Italy or where Washington DC is not a state.
Palestine could be an International Religious Free City or State with the same relationship inside whatever permanent boundaries that are established and agreed upon much as that of the Vatican within Rome. Then Palestine would be the center of religious joy and peace forever.
Please sign right here, the end.

Many Christians are Zionists while many Jews throughout the world, perhaps even the majority, are anti-Zionist. Anti-Zionism has nothing to do with persecution of the Jews. It is simply anti-racism and anti-colonialism as applied to the occupation of Palestine and the subjugation of its indigenous population.

Astonishingly enough, the Israelis even within the so-called ‘left’ and even the educated ‘left’ fail to understand who the Palestinians are, where they come from and what they stand for. They fail to grasp that for the Palestinians, Palestine is home. Miraculously, the Israelis manage to fail to grasp that Israel had been erected at the expense of the Palestinian people, on Palestinian land, on Palestinian villages, towns, fields and orchards. The Israelis do not realise that Palestinians in Gaza and in refugee camps in the region are actually dispossessed people from Ber Shive, Yafo, Tel Kabir, Shekh Munis, Lod, Haifa, Jerusalem and many more towns and villages. If you wonder how come the Israelis don’t know their history, the answer is pretty simple, they have never been told. The circumstances that led to the Israeli Palestinian conflict are well hidden within their culture. Traces of pre-1948 Palestinian civilisation on the land had been wiped out. Not only the Nakba, the 1948 ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinians, is not part of the Israeli curriculum, it is not even mentioned or discussed in any Israeli official or academic forum.

Cost on Gaza infrastructure of Israeli bombardment put at $1.1bn
The cost in direct loss of infrastructure from the recent Israeli military campaign in Gaza has been placed at $1.1bn.
Figures released by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) place the cost in destroyed housing throughout Gaza at $200m, while the estimated cost of clearing up the debris is $600m.
Around 4,000 buildings have been destroyed in Gaza, while another 20,000 have been severely damaged. Some 50,000 Gazans have been left homeless by the fighting and 400,000 do not have running water.
The PCBS says the Gazan economy is losing almost $4m a day as a result of the damage.
Over 1,300 Palestinians died in the three-week campaign, while 13 Israelis were killed.
