Woman shotputs 12-pack of beer, downs thief

A 28-year-old woman who had her wallet snatched out of her hand by a robber as she was buying beer took him down moments later will the same 12-pack she was just about to purchase.

Kayte Taylor and three female chums were shopping when the thief snatched her purse out of her hand and legged it down the road. Kayte gave chase and saw the guy about twelve feet away climbing onto a bike. Realising she was holding a hefty 12-pack of Miller Lite, Kayte "hoisted the box to shoulder height, reared back and shot-put the beer at the burglar."

Amazingly, it hit him, taking him down and leaving him at the mercy of the women who piled onto him, got Kayte's wallet back and held onto his bike, forcing him further indignity of having to blubber and beg for it back.

    • That's nothing, Mick Dundee took down a purse snatcher running away at full pelt on a busy New York sidewalk with a tin of peaches.

      I guess the most surprising part of this story is that a woman can throw.

      Thanks for that, I was just racking my brain trying to remember what film that was from. I thought it was good 'ol Mick Dundee, but I couldn't find it on YouTube. Go on Mick.

    • This reminds me of a story - just last night my boyfriend told me that one time when he had his hands full carrying shopping bags home from the supermarket, two teenagers rode by him on bicycles. One of them reached out and playfully slapped him on the forehead as they passed. Well, my bf was pissed off and as they rode away laughing, he reached into the shopping bag and lobbed a can of soup at the little bastard. Unlike the shot-put chick in the above story, however, my bf's aim was off and he completely missed.
