Healthcare CEOs Shoot Themselves in the Foot

They admit the "profit model" of private insurance mandates the denial of care to those who need it most.

Yesterday the House Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations decided to investigate the practice of recission. This is when you pay your premiums for years to a healthcare insurer, then get sick, and then have your insurance cancelled. The insurance industry executives at the hearing did not exactly cover themselves with glory:

    • This "reform" is by slashing government funded Medicare and Medicaid to elderly and the poor and to the people that seriously need it to survive and reform it into a nation wide HMO system. "Lives not worthy to be lived". That's your "reform". Why not scrap the HMO system and reenact the Hillburton system? Because the plan is not to save lives. It's to make money. It's the overhead administrative cost of HMOs that is costly, not Medicare. Now Obama's financiers such as George Soros is using dirty handed tactics by waging attack campaigns against reps and senators who are fighting for the welfare of the people. You Obama supporters better start realizing that this president is quickly becoming more efficient than Bush ever was at destroying the principles of this nation.
