Crater optical illusion drawn on path to mess with cyclists heads

Speedy cyclists are being encouraged to slow down by a massive, fake crater that British Waterways commissioned pavement artists Joe Hill and Max Lowry to paint along the Regent's Canal towpath in Islington, North London.

Note the thoughtful placing of flimsy railings along the side of the canal to stop any petrified bike riders from veering into the water.
