    • No. She was merely stopped for not wearing a seat belt.

      She was arrested for refusing to present a license and then attempting to get back into her car. Then she was tasered while resisting arrest. The only thing shocking here is how dumb the woman is.

      Claiming you don;t have ID and refusing to present it are different things. It makes me wonder why she did it. Did she have other warrants? Was the car stolen? Hard to tell since there is only the video, with no accompanying article.

    • again, i urge you all, if you see a cop tasering someone on the side of the road...hit him with your car.

      most likely he's doing something illegal AND placing someone life in unnecessary jeopardy. they have lost the right for compassion.

      Oh wow, hate speech anyone?

      So seriously, you really think it's wise to make a split second judgement while driving a car to mow or not to mow over a human being?

    • Of all the challenges life throws at us obeying an officer of the law (even an asshole officer of the law) who is within reason is not that big of a deal.

      Tasers are what is called "less than lethal" weapons... They were implemented to the police departments to be used in place of guns to prevent unnecessary injuries and death. Now they are used for simple situations like this........This is outright abuse by the police officer. A citizen has every right to refuse an order by a police officer, and the officer has every right to send them a ticket in the mail....

      @regjoeshmo

      I disagree. Before tasers the weapon he would have been required to use (yes, required) in such a situation was a police baton. The action would be to strike the resisting arrestee across the flat muscles of the limb they were using to resist arrest with to temporarily paralyze them. Tasers are on the whole a lot less bother.

      Note how I never said anything about the tazering...

      Just to be sure, how would you have dealt with the situation? Keep in mind you have a loaded gun, probably without a safety attached to your hip. So a physical confrontation should probably be avoided.

    • I see no problem here. She was being defiant and interfering with a police investigation. When she refused to show her drivers licence he attempted to handcuff her, at which point she physically pulled away from him. That's when she got taised.

    • and Im sure the cheif will make a statement to the press saying this is an "honorable man"....... these cops need to be held responsible....... he can run the plates and send a ticket to the registered address. There is no need to use force.....
