New York Governor David Paterson on Wednesday warned that if state senators go home without enacting bills he would seek a court order that would then allow him to order state troopers to round them up.

"That very well might happen," the Democratic governor told Albany reporters.

Since a June 8 GOP coup d'etat, control of the senate has been split equally between both parties, which have failed to enact any bills.

State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli warned the "Chaos in the Senate" could cost local governments $750 million in lost revenues -- a sum that does not even include New York City.
