Blanket No Smoking Ban Has One Odd Exception

New residents have had to sign a no-smoking agreement in recent years but those smokers already in the facility were grandfathered. That special privilege will now be removed. During the debate at County Council Wednesday, Admaston-Bromley Mayor Raye-Anne Briscoe was concerned about enforcement and suggested the next step might be to punish family members for sneaking cookies to diabetics. Arnprior Reeve Walter Stack called the new rules a radical step and suggested there has to be some concessions made to elderly people who have smoked all their lives. In an ironic twist, council was told that provisions will have to be made if residents are prescribed marijuana for chronic illnesses.
