The plane was carrying more than 150 people and while a debris field has been spotted, there are no indications of any survivors.
I'm thinking some investigating of Airbuses might be in order.

Danger Will Robinson! Danger!.
First, we don't yet know why the jets crashed.
Second, they're two different planes.
Third, there are lots, and lots, and lots of similar planes which have not fallen out of the sky this month.
Fourth, one of them was 20 years old - far older than the Air France plane at ~5 years.
It would make far more sense [but still be very silly] to say that two planes in African airspace crashed in a month.

There is at least one bit of good news. AP is reporting a girl was found alive amongst the debris. No word on her condition.
