"If you don't think it's newsworthy, don't click on it or bother to read it."
Are we reinventing the way this site works here or what?
:-Da) To know whether it's newsworthy or not, you need to read it. :-D
b) If i don't think it's newsworthy, i vote it down. And vice versa. That was a no brainer, wasn't it.

That's a bummer.
Yes, car crashes occur all the time and that is also unfortunate. But people do still drive them, so I don't believe this accident will frighten most folks away from the monorail. I think this story made headlines because the track record for safety on those things was pretty clean until now.
If you don't think it's newsworthy, don't click on it or bother to read it.

Meanwhile car accidents are constantly occurring and no one is afraid to drive still. People, rail systems are far safer than automobiles, your 11 times more likely to be in a car accident than a rail accident.

Like a few other tens of thousands of people.
;-)
A few hundred thousand people got off plans just after the last plane crash too...
And a few billion people just parked their car after the last car crash...

wow...i work at the hilton at downtown disney and a guest asked me what would be an alternate route other than the monorail to get to the park and see th e fireworks last night, they had mentioned that the monorail was having problems all day but disney employees were telling people not to worry about it because the monorail is the safest thing at the park, back to the story...i told them to take the bus goin to the contemporary hotel or the polynesian hotel and just watch the fireworks there...something told me that something crazy was goin to happen last night...people we need to wake up and see whats goin....more and more people are goin to pop up dead or missing, its time...

it's not the trains, its the stupid conductors being poorly trained and texting on the job.
management and the unions need to whip these fuckers into shape.
but driving is still a helluva a lot more dangerous
