Muhammad - Legacy of a Prophet

Vierotchka
Fourteen hundred years ago, a humble merchant who could not read or write changed the face of Arabia. Today, his influence has spread to every corner of the world including the United States. This is the story Muslims have passed down from generation to generation for 1400 years. It is a story about the merchant, husband, father, statesman and warrior whom they consider the final prophet.... the man whose legacy continues to shape their lives today.

I posted this video so as to give an accurate background and history of Islam and the Prophet Muhhamad and to dissipate the widespread ignorance of this history, so as to counter the hateful and evil lies and propaganda posted by a handful of soulless, heartless, and wicked individuals bereft of conscience and empathy and whose efforts are directed exclusively at spreading hatred, violence, irrational fears, and evil. No doubt they will soon be posting insulting, poisonous and mendacious comments below, as well as voting this down and getting their sick and demented cronies to do the same - that comes with the ugly territory. A study of ponerology and psychopathy brings one a very accurate description of that despicable kind of sorry individuals.

    • @ Vierotchka and div;

~The natural attitude of a Muslim to the infidel world must be one of deception and omission.... ~Fortunately for the jihadists and apologists, most infidels do not understand what Muhammad actually did and taught, which makes it easy to give the impression through selective quotations and omissions that "Islam is a religion of peace." Any infidel who wants to believe such fiction will happily persist in his mistake having been cited a handful of Meccan verses and told that Muhammad was a man of great piety and charity, when nothing could be further from the truth.

~Ignorant means knowing not the truth, stupidity on the other hand is to know the truth and to lie and deny....like the Islam apologists that distort and decieve about the demented pervert Muhammad (the prophet of hate and deception)....you know, people much like you.

You don't understand the original intention for the Law. Most were for medical reasons. Cutting your flesh within non-sanitary conditions would have caused some major medical problems and Yahweh was/is always concerned about taking care of his people. He didn't get into explaining himself about every little detail b/c he is God, thus, why should he?. Today, science and medicine are proving that His Laws make total sense.
Oh so its okay to disobey the word of god now, because science and medicine have proved it to be unnecessary today???????? better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Your hateful words and comments towards others on this page show what a "good Christian" you are!!!

    • Its hilarious to me when Christians tattoo crosses and other religious symbols on their bodies. Leviticus ch 19 vs 28 says "Do not tattoo yourselves or make cuttings in your flesh, I AM THE LORD" I always point this out to christians, most are surprised. Says alot when an Athiest knows more scripture than a christian.

My hearts intention for the tattoo is what matters most to God. It's no different than circumcision - it's a permanent outward sign of who I belong to. Thus, if a Muslim terrorist ever asks me to deny my faith while holding a huge knife to my throat, I can't chicken out. Because I'm not sure how I would react under those conditions, I wanted to ensure I couldn't turn into a coward. Leading up the event, I had gone through a dark period intellectually. But I knew that prior to this experience, I had encountered Jesus Christ. I watched a few friends lose their faith and I didn't want that to happen to me. B/c in my heart, I knew the truth. Eventually everything got worked out in my head too.

So, please go take your hate for God Almighty out on someone else. The world is falling apart and I'm not in the mood to be mocked.

"Because Christians are getting killed for their faith all around the Muslim world." -- Absolute nonsense.

"I won't be the problem." -- You already very much are the problem.

"Your tone has such a flat arrogance b/c it's based on hot air." -- That describes your tone perfectly, kjoknoswazzup.

"It's nothing like soulful passion." -- That's something you obviously don't have.

"We would not be friends in real life" -- How very "Christian" of you... isn't it time you dropped the personality cult and mindless idolatry of Jesus and began listening to His teachings and acting upon them? People like you don't have the capacity for real friendship.

"So, let's just end the convo here, shall we?" -- If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, copout!

    • I appreciate what you're trying to do, but on the other hand, I think it's important for you to understand that the past is the past and we are living in a very different phase of Islam. However, there is a group of Muslims called Traditionalists who take the Koran literally and thus, understand that it doesn't say women have to be covered nor was killing allowed the way many Muslim groups use it today. The traditionalists are the Muslims who are going to have to reach out to their people and teach them the truth, since I suspect they will have an easier time reaching them then non-Muslims would.

      About The Third Jihad

The Third Jihad, the newest offering from the producers of the captivating documentary film, Obsession, explores the existence of radical Islam in America and the emerging risk that this “homegrown jihad” poses to national security, western liberties and the “American way of life.”

The film, which is narrated by devout Muslim American Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, opens with the following statement: “This is not a film about Islam. It is about the threat of radical Islam. Only a small percentage of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims are radical. This film is about them.”

In 72 minutes, the film reveals that radical Islamists driven by a religiously motivated rejection of western values cultures and religion are engaging in a multifaceted strategy to overcome the western world. In contrast to the use of “violent jihad” and terror to instill fear in “non-believers,” The Third Jihad introduces the concept of “cultural jihad” as a means to infiltrate and undermine our society from within.

There's a bunch of rabid and demented Islamophobes polluting current with disgusting lies about Muhammad and Islam, my effort is to counter their ugly and mendacious propaganda. Sure, the past is the past, and the present is the result of the past. The Koran does enjoin women to cover their hair and their breasts, by the way.

    • Since in Arabia in Muhammad's time, most girls were married at age six or less - they tended to develop much faster than they do today - and since the average life-span was considerably shorter than it is today, it was customary to marry girls that young. This had nothing to do with pedophilia. In fact, up until not so long ago, girls were married that young in Christian countries too, for much the same reasons.

      Causes

A variety of different theories exist as to the causes of pedophilia. A few researchers attribute pedophilia along with the other paraphilias to biology. They hold that testosterone, one of the male sex hormones, predisposes men to develop deviant sexual behaviors. As far as genetic factors are concerned, as of 2002 no researchers have claimed to have discovered or mapped a gene for pedophilia.

Most experts regard pedophilia as resulting from psychosocial factors rather than biological characteristics. Some think that pedophilia is the result of having been sexually abused as a child. Still others think that it derives from the person's interactions with parents during their early years of life. Some researchers attribute pedophilia to arrested emotional development; that is, the pedophile is attracted to children because he or she has never matured psychologically. Some regard pedophilia as the result of a distorted need to dominate a sexual partner. Since children are smaller and usually weaker than adults, they may be regarded as nonthreatening potential partners. This drive for domination is sometimes thought to explain why most pedophiles are males.
      Symptoms

A pedophile is often very attractive to the children who are potential victims. Potential pedophiles may volunteer their services to athletic teams, Scout troops, or religious or civic organizations that serve youth. In some cases, pedophiles who are attracted to children within their extended family may offer to baby-sit for their relatives. They often have good interpersonal skills with children and can easily gain the children's trust.

Some pedophiles offer rationalizations or excuses that enable them to avoid assuming responsibility for their actions. They may blame the children for being too attractive or sexually provocative. They may also maintain that they are "teaching" the child about "the facts of life" or "love"; this rationalization is frequently offered by pedophiles who have molested children related to them. All these rationalizations may be found in pornography with pedophilic themes.

    • Definition of Pedophilia

Pedophilia is a paraphilia that involves an abnormal interest in children. A paraphilia is a disorder that is characterized by recurrent intense sexual urges and sexually arousing fantasies generally involving: nonhuman objects; the suffering or humiliation of oneself or one's partner (not merely simulated); or animals, children, or other nonconsenting persons. Pedophilia is also a psychosexual disorder in which the fantasy or actual act of engaging in sexual activity with prepubertal children is the preferred or exclusive means of achieving sexual excitement and gratification. It may be directed toward children of the same sex or children of the other sex. Some pedophiles are attracted to both boys and girls. Some are attracted only to children, while others are attracted to adults as well as to children.

Pedophilia is defined by mental health professionals as a mental disorder, but the American legal system defines acting on a pedophilic urge as a criminal act.

The focus of pedophilia is sexual activity with a child. Many courts interpret this reference to age to mean children under the age of 18. Most mental health professionals, however, confine the definition of pedophilia to sexual activity with prepubescent children, who are generally age 13 or younger. The term ephebophilia, derived from the Greek word for "youth," is sometimes used to describe sexual interest in young people in the first stages of puberty.

The sexual behaviors involved in pedophilia cover a range of activities and may or may not involve the use of force. Some pedophiles limit their behaviors to exposing themselves or masturbating in front of the child, or fondling or undressing the child, but without genital contact. Others, however, compel the child to participate in oral sex or full genital intercourse.

The most common overt aspect of pedophilia is an intense interest in children. There is no typical pedophile. Pedophiles may be young or old, male or female, although the great majority are males. Unfortunately, some pedophiles are professionals who are entrusted with educating or maintaining the health and well-being of young persons, while others are entrusted with children to whom they are related by blood or marriage.

    • Islamophobia?...not all, here are the real facts:
#Muhammad's personal life became the picture of hedonism and excess, all justified by frequent “revelations.”
#In his later years, he frequently used his influence for purely personal goals, including sex, wealth and power. Allah's authority for him to pursue these earthly ambitions were even immortalized in the Qur'an.
#For example, the man, who earlier in his career had justified his claims as a prophet by saying that he "asked for no reward" from others, reversed course and began to demand a fifth or more of all booty taken from conquered tribes. According to his biographers, he became fat from living off this enormous share of ill-gotten gain.
#In the span of a dozen years, he married eleven women and had access to an array of sex slaves When he wanted a woman, even if she were the wife of another man, his own daughter-in-law, or a child as young as 6-years-old , Muhammad was able to justify his lust and inevitable consummation with an appeal to Allah’s revealed will for his sex life - which was then preserved forever in the Qur'an, to be faithfully memorized by future generations for whom it has no possible relevance.
#(For the Muslim faithful, it must surely be a source of embarrassment that Allah evidently had more interest in Muhammad's personal sex life than he did about tolerance. There are also far more open-ended Qur'anic verses that advocate "fighting in the cause of Allah" than there are in showing love for all people. Allah encourages sex with slaves in multiple places as well).
#The prophet of Islam was an extremely superstitious person, leaving many bizarre rules for Muslims to follow, including which direction they should defecate and how many stones they should wash their anus with afterwards (any odd number... for those curious).
#Muhammad also had personal critics executed, including poets. One of these was a mother of five children, who was stabbed to death by Muhammad's envoy after a suckling infant was removed from her breast Other innocent people were killed merely because they were of a different religion, sometimes including children
#The double standards of Islam that are so recognizable today were ingrained by the prophet of Islam during his lifetime. An example would be the death of Umm Qirfa, an elderly woman who had the bad fortune to be the member of a tribe targeted by Muhammad's raiders.
#Muhammad's adopted son tied the woman's legs separately to two camels, then set the camels off in opposite directions, tearing the woman's body in two. He also killed her two young sons - presumably in gruesome fashion - as well.
#Today's Muslims inherit this legacy of self-consumption and disregard for those outside the faith. They may or may not agree with terrorist attacks on non-Muslims, but they are nearly united in their belief that the victims have no right to strike back, even if it is in self-defense.
The Qur'an distinguishes Muslims from others, bestowing the highest praise for believers while heaping the vilest condemnation on those outside the faith. Islam is a true supremacist ideology.

All the Islamophobic posts on here do the exact opposite: they omit anything that doesn't fit the Islamophobe agenda.

"We learn that evil will always triumph over good, because good is dumb!"
      --Darth Helmet in "Space Balls"
*Fortunately, evil has other weaknesses and good does have a learning curve.
*Of course, who can write such a sentence nowadays without knowing that some readers will snort: "What is `good` and what is `evil?' Isn't that just a matter of opinon? Isn't that too absolute?"

*Yes, it is certainly not useful as a category for political analysis--it should be left out of one's evaluation completely. But after you have finished looking at the histories, personalities, motivations, ideologies, and actions, in the end gradations must be made though obviously with many in between.
*However, anyone who thinks that al-Qaida in all its various permutations, the Taliban, the current Iranian or Syrian regimes, Hamas, or Hizballah cannot be clearly assessed on this spectrum--with the Muslim Brotherhood branches not far behind--hasn't been paying serious attention. . .(or a denier and liar)

~While many religious texts preach violence, the interpretation, modern usage and implementation of these teachings make all the difference. For example, the stoning of women exists in both the Old Testament and in the Islamic tradition, or "Sunna" -- the recorded deeds and manners of the prophet Muhammad. The difference, though, is that leading Jewish scholars agreed to discontinue these practices centuries ago while Muslim scholars have yet to do so. Hence we do not see the stoning of women practiced or promoted in Israel, the "Jewish" state, but we see it practiced and promoted in Iran and Saudi Arabia, the "Islamic" states!
~Scholars in the most prestigious Islamic institutes and universities continue to teach things like Jews are "pigs and monkeys," that women and men must be stoned to death for adultery, or that Muslims must fight the world to spread their religion!
~...The burden is for YOU to prove this not so...

    • FallenMorgan:

let me say that I'm an agnostic, not a Christian.

But the new testament was truly a book of piece, of tolerance. Jesus never talked about killing infidels. It doesn't exist.

The closest Jesus got to violence was upsetting the money changers' tables in the temples, but he never promoted violence.

The anti-Christian liberals try to equate Christianity with Islam by saying "Oh yeah, in the Bible it says 'an eye for an eye'," but that's the old testament, not the teachings of Jesus.

Now, what some people have done "in the name of God" or in the name of "Jesus" is another thing.
