    • Would have sucked if the department wasn't able to afford the jaws. This weekend a racer died at a kansas racetrack, because the owners didn't have a jaws of life, and the nearest one was about an hour away.

Today (in Kansas), I was driving and saw a Hurst promo truck driving down the street that was totally decked out. Full camo paint job, turbo charged V-10 truck, lots of other post market additions. It really made me wonder why the jaw of life maker needs such a truck. I am sure it attracks attention at racetracks, b/c it has an officail NHRA racing sticker on it and most other tracks have them.

It is sad though that somebody died because the track couldn't afford to pay Hurst to add another truck to its solely advertising fleet of trucks. It is a good thing that I don't watch racing, because I doubt I could have sat there for a half hour watching someone be crushed to death in front of me.
