A Government Accountability Office investigator smuggled live bomb components into a federal building in just 27 seconds, then assembled a bomb in a restroom and ventured throughout the building without being detected, a leaked tape revealed Wednesday.

In addition, congressional investigators were able to penetrate every single federal building they probed without any difficulty — 10 in all.

A shocked Senate Homeland Security Chairman Joe Lieberman (I-CT) went off on the news in an article Wednesday by ABC News.

“It’s stunning. It’s shocking,” Lieberman quipped. “It just says that basically some people have forgotten the lessons of 9/11.”

A division of the Homeland Security Department is supposed to protect some 9,000 federal buildings across the United States. Fifteen thousand of their employees are private contractors, the network said.

The Federal Protective Service, a part of the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for securing more than 9,000 federal buildings and, among other employees, utilizes 15,000 contract security guards.

“The GAO has been investigating the service since 2007 for a wide range of reported problems, and says it found serious vulnerabilities during visits to the 10 buildings,” the network noted. “ABC News obtained videos and images from the GAO investigation. Investigators are slated to publish their latest findings in a report later this summer, but Lieberman’s staff said he found the information compiled so troubling that he scheduled a hearing for today.”

      You left out the really idiotic part: the 'hijackers', armed ONLY with box cutters and razor blades (presumably), were co-ordinated by a man on dialysis from inside a cave in tora bora.

      Recently --it was learned that AA itself is the source for information that is confirmed by BTS, that is: FLIGHTS 77 and 11 DID NOT FLY AT ALL ON 911.

      Earlier --the NTSB released official Flight Data under an FOIA request that proved beyond any reasonable doubt that Flight 77 could not possibly have crashed into the Pentagon.

      There goes your official conspiracy theory of 19 Arabs right there.

      Secondly --ONLY thermite or thermate could have brought down those towers and --lo and behold --thermite has been found and CONFIRMED by experts.

      Third --the ONLY aircraft rotor to be recovered from the PENTAGON was about one third the size of TWO such rotors that WOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND had Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.

      Those are FATAL holes in Bush's conspiracy theory involved 19 incompetent Arab hijackers.

      Bottom line: BUSH IS A LIAR and so are all those complicit co-conspirators like Cheney, Condo, Rummie (who said that a MISSILE struck the pentagon), et al. All should be charged with the capital crimes of mass murder and high treason.

      A final shot: Dr. Olmsted filed an FOIA request for the official autopsy of Pentagon casualties. Here's yet ANOTHER fatal flaw in Bush;'s bald faced lies: THERE WERE NO ARABS ON THE LIST.

      Now --passengers lists or manifests are NOT evidence. But an official autopsy report IS evidence admissible in court. And it is the AUTOPSY REPORT that is missing any Arabs whatsoever. That's because they were never on the flight to begin with...a flight that, in fact, never flew that day and could not possibly have struck the Pentagon.

      Then please explain how come at least eight of the alleged hijackers are alive and well today, and how come none of the 19 alleged hijackers were on any of the four planes passenger manifests.

    • Yes, I'm afraid that the government will use this as an excuse to use the military as security. Until we find out the truth about 9/11 (i.e. was that military nanothermite and did the military plant it under orders?) we don't know who to use for security of government buildings. Jewish Joe Liebermann is not the person to be chairing Senate Homeland Security.

    • The Department of Homeland Security has been the largest expansion of BIG government that we have seen since the New Deal. The biggest difference is that the public/taxpayer funds that pay these contractors end up in private hands. Which is to say, We The People are paying corporations to perfrom public functions...poorly. Your tax dollars are making the rich folks richer and their doing a shitty job. But, you can't fire them. So, it's not exactly a Free Market now is it? There's no competition in a "no-bid" government contract. So, let's call a spade a spade. By definition, this is Fascism. The Corporaations are running the State. No matter if it is Security, Banking, Mortgagges, Student Loans, Prison or Schools, it's all the same.
