Bill Gives Attorney General Power To Designate Gun Owners, Tax Protesters As Terrorists

In my opinion, this is the most disturbing piece of legislation ever created.
Infowars reports:
Amendments to the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act, which has already been passed by the House, would empower the Attorney General Eric Holder to define gun owners, anti-abortion activists and tax protesters as domestic terrorists in light of recent federal reports that classify millions of Americans as “extremists”.
...
The evidence required to show that such an organization is affiliated with a violent hate group includes people possessing tattoos identifying them with the group, individuals who attend conferences or rallies sponsored by a “hate group,” people who engage in online discussion forums of an “extremist” nature, people who possess documents, books or photographs or simply “related materials as defined by the Attorney General” that represent “hate propaganda.”
...
The bill’s definition of “people associated or affiliated with hate groups” include, “Groups or organizations that espouse an intention or expectation of armed revolutionary activity against the United States Government,” or “Other groups or organizations that are determined by the Attorney General to be of a violent, extremist nature.”

I love these type of post .
They help us identify the anti American ,socialist morons that put Obama in office.
I agree that all democrats, socialist and communist that put these ass holes in office should turn in all their guns.
This will make it easy for American to round them up and send them to Europe.

If you combine the above legislation with the link I provided , you can see a bit clearer just how 'free' we are.
Attorney General rules ( not the Judicial ) and Judges are not needed for warrents...?!

its our fault this is happening because we the people allowed the Patriot Act to pass without a wimper of opposition! The act allows them to do this to us! Anyone who the government doesn't like will go to concentration camps already built and staffed by the military! The constitution and the bill of rights have been torn up and the elite will kill us all if we protest! Is this what americans died for? FREEDOM IS GONE! The right to protest the government is gone forever and the people gave it away! Once you give up FREEDOM for SECURITY you end up with neither!

Wow this is not the first bill passed like this. You can call conspiracy nuts crazy but i would rather people be cautious than ignorant until its too late.
"Only the small secrets need to be protected. The big ones are kept secret by public incredulity!" IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SOMETHING IS GOING DOWN THEN GO TO WALLMART AND TRY TO BUY SOME BULLETS!! Notice there are none? My friend works at wallmart and he said they were instructed to notify authorities if anyone got upset or very insistent on obtaining ammo. Something is going on here. No one in our society is informed on what is going on. All they care about is pop-culture B.S. and our so called news media. The biggest reason our propaganda system works so well is that the people don't realize its propaganda. At least in a totalitarian state the people know its propaganda - 2 years ago

Never in the history of this great nation have we needed a hero more; someone to stand up, speak out and bring the people together. Someone, anyone, everyone pick up the banner and flag, speak to those who will hear, even if it is one at a time. One million to speak to one million, two million to create four million, etc. TIme for action is passing and soon will be met with detention, rendition and eventually, as history has proven, execution of those who were silent for too long.
Good luck to us all, stand and deliver time for our future. - 2 years ago

So they can designate anyone that owns a shotgun for duck hunting or a rifle for deer hunting to feed their family in an economic crisis a terrorist if they want to. And anyone who bitches about taxes to fund whatever the next stimulus bill is can be designated a terrorist. Love it. Welcome to Obama's America, I hope you're all very happy.

when guns are banned i'm gonna become a burglar.
imagine how frightened the public will become when thiefs become suddenly bolder. i lived in gayana for a while, a gun free country, everyone was afraid of the "choke and robs" ; 2 guys, 1 big who would lift a victim off the ground by the throat while the other guy went through the pockets. there were several crews in georgetown that did this, often in broad daylight.
i work in sober living houses, prisoners are released early into these houses to finish their sentences, sometimes. sometimes these guys are the scum of the earth, career criminals who relish the thought of a ban on guns. they know where to go first, nice neighborhoods, they talk often about these things. - 2 years ago

This is the copy of the amendment put forth by Alcee Hastings. It relates in the beginning to not allowing anyone from these designated groups to be recruited for service in the armed forces. However, as you read along, it does get to be a bit dicey in regards to giving the attorney general the authority to determine who might be considered as being part of a hate group. Simply having a tatoo (which is in here) does not make you part of a hate group, and this can then lead to the same people being designated as part of terrorism organizations that can then restrict their freedoms.

JanforGore:
The word tattoo was not explained or defined here. If you actually read it you will see that, and in that case it leaves the door open at the Attorney General's discretion to decide what person is or is not in a hate group or what behavior they may engage in simply by what they may have stamped or illustrated on their body and what they alone construe it to mean. I would then say that someone with a snake and the words "Don't Tread On Me" could then also be construed as a terrorist. And actually, the swastika is a religious symbol of peace hijacked by Hitler. I could simply be a religious person looking to show that. That scenario may be very unlikely, but how would you know just by looking at me what I am capable of? I fail to understand why you don't get the meaning of this and where it can lead, or just don't want to. If it were John Ashcroft getting this authority I can imagine the screaming that would be going on about our freedoms being taken from us. Read the language of the amendment and understand how it can be used against innocent people, and that in America that is not the way it is supposed to be. We are supposed to be better than countries like China or Iran.

This officially makes America a Police State.
Barack Obama, and Eric Holder, is this the "Change" that that you preached about that won my vote for you ? If so, I am so sorry for the terrible mistake that I made, and I'm so disappointed in the both of you.Or did it really even matter who the next president was going to be ? Probably not. Political leaders that are voted into office by "We The People" no longer serve the people.

Well, with all the anti-military sentiment that seems so popular nowadays, AND the fact that you have a tattoo, you are part of the anti-establishment. If you had a pro-life tattoo you'd be shot. If you were gay, and you had a tattoo with your boyfriends name on it, they'd give you a medal, and you'd get to shake hands with Obama at the white House. Just by being a veteran, you are considered a terrorist, as defined by whatshername. being a veteran under the Obama administration is a liability. Being a proud veteran, (like me, US Navy) is even worse. Especially if you dare "peacefully assemble" to protest Obama's Gestapo. If you dare defend the Constitution, and speak out for it, you'll be considered a dangerous subversive- and you'll be shipped off to Unimatrix's "re-education camp", where you will learn to love and worship Dear Leader.

I can understand why gun owners or anti abortion activist can be labeled under terrorist, but not tax protesters.
If you have 15 Ak-47, grenades, and an RPG, AND you believe the govt is going to wage war on its citizens, then it understandable the govt MAYconsider you a terrorist. i doubt the govt is looking at handgun owners.
Or if you go to rallies the claim all abortion doctors should be killed and abortion clinics blown up, you have a tattoo of the Dr. Tiller murderer, and a detailed schematic of the closet abortion clinic...then I understand why the govt MAY consider you a terrorist.
The only truly disturbing thing hear is tax protester. Anyone that has studied the issue knows they have a legitimate argument and it seems the govt wants to stifle this.

Yes, nephwrack- the Patriot Act was the brainchild of the Bush administration, nor did he attempt to introduce Marxism and obliterate peoples personal freedoms. Obama is taking a dump all over the US Constitution. Obama wants to ban the 2nd amendment, and make owning ANY gun a crime- which means hunting will be outlawed. Which means those crappy overpriced cookie cutter subdivisions will be overrun with wildlife. Which means that criminals will have free reign. The cities and states with the highest murder rates also have the most restrictive gun laws. (DC being an excellent example- so restrictive they were in violation of the US Constitution (in the Heller case). The cities and states with the least restrictive gun laws also have the lowest crime rates (Wyoming, Montana, etc.) You want socialism? You want Marxism? You want fascism? You've got all three coming at you soon- Obama won't rest until he guts and obliterates the 1st and 2nd amendments- right to gun ownership (read the founding fathers statements on this) right to free speech, and the right to assembly. You had better believe this right will be one of the first ones to go. The US Government wants a revolution, they're going to get it! It happened once before, in 1776, but this time, the revolution will be against our own government!!

Regulate everything, tell us what we can say and do, essentially control us in everyway. These people are directly contradicting the freedoms of US citizens, and changing the fundamental ethics of this country. Sad really, but I have hope. Just look at the 1970's for example.

To Obama's credit, he voted no on the John Warner Defense Authorization Act in 2006, but only because his hate bill amendment wasn't added to it.
