Could the most audacious terrorist attack in history be a “sophisticated masterpiece of demolition”?

That’s what chemistry professor Niels Harrit has been asking, following his investigation of the World Trade Centre rubble, which has revealed traces of explosives.

RT: Professor Niels Harrit, you examined the rubble that came from the World Trade Center. What did you find in it?

Niels Harrit: Well, in there we find the remains of what we characterize as thermetic material, and this is a very energetic material which can be used either for melting iron, or it can be designed as an explosive.

    • Coordinating hijackings, slamming something that handles like a drunken elephant (best description I could come up with) into three buildings, and making a mysterious pit of flaming garage sale junk in the middle of Pennsylvania? Damn, these Al Qaeda sure are smart little fellers for living in caves!

      Please, why don't you "progressive thinkers" actually do some research into science and not into the American standard. WTC 1, 2, and 7 were all controlled demolitions. That pit of...whatever it was in Pennsylvania?

      Whatever happened to your loved ones on those flights, and in the twin towers, those of us who do not believe it was a hijacking ARE NOT saying that we aren't sorry for you. We all feel remorse for them. I think that's why a lot of people vehemently despise those who don't believe the official story. They think that we, somehow, don't feel sorry for their loss. But, those of you who lost, re-direct your anger away from us (we're with you in wanting to find out the truth) and direct it towards those horrible, ugly people who did that to your loved ones. Want the truth.

    • 9/11 was a false flag operation and was used to shove the Patriot Act down our throats. There is so much evidence that the planes in fact DID NOT bring down the towers that people who hold to the OFFICIAL ACCOUNT are closed minded sheeple.

      Get your heads out of your arses and study the evidence. There is a mountain of it that was quickly removed and destroyed in the weeks following the disaster. Why the big rush to remove the evidence of the actual towers themselves? To hide the truth of the evil deeds.

      Like the research Tom Cruise did when he interviewed with Matt Lauer? The problem is no one listens to you fanatics because it all starts to sound the same after awhile (see aforementioned interview). Read my posts above to see what the "research" says. If you discount the thousands of credible witnesses and researchers who claim that the WTC came down as reported for the mutterings of a few rogue scientists, you have a lot in common with those who think the world is 6000 years old.

      Does everyone see how Bushido quickly changed the topic to a celebrity? He then lumps everyone who questions what they are told into a group and calls them "fanatics". After that, Bushido then hails the brilliance of the unnamed "thousands of credible witnesses and researchers" (all of whom I'm sure are quoted in the 911 Commission Report, but don't bother looking it up) to dismiss the fact that nano-thermite was "allegedly" found in the rubble. To tie it all up at the end of his statement, he equates these nutjobs with fundamental Christians who put faith before science. WELL DONE, BUSHIDO!!! You get a gold star.

      Would anyone else like to try? Perhaps the next rebuttle can dismiss the fact that steel doesn't melt at the temperature of burning jet fuel. And after that, someone can dismiss the "suggestion" that Cheney was running multiple Air Force war games and terrorism drills on the morning of 9/11, thus preventing a real life interception (the only 4 unintercepted hijacked aircraft in American history occurred on 9/11). And if you are really good, you can try to dismiss the fact that all 3 WTC buildings fell in neat little piles 6 weeks after the new owner signed the lease and took out a huge insurance policy on them. If you can do as well as Bushido, you too can get a gold star!

      Sure, if you question the work of countless scientists in a desperate attempt to buy into an outrageous theory, then you definitely fit nicely into the Tom Cruise, 6,000 year-old earth category of thinkers. If the shoe fits...

      I am not saying there isn't more to the story, my point is that you cannot selectively choose your data based on what you want to believe. This applies both ways.

      And I think we're making the same point about facts, but you're on the other side of the fence.

      Fact: The only way for the towers to fall so perfectly is if the support beams were cut at a 45 degree angle. Now, I know you like to think that jet fuel burns hot enough to melt steel (even though it doesn't), but even if it could, are you suggesting that it melts steel at a perfect 45 degree angle?

      And the thousands of reputable scientists that you speak of are nameless or fakes. The people who actually were at the site and studied the scene are very outspoken about what the saw. It's a simple Google search for you to find them, and they are willing to put their names and reputations on the line to explain what happened. If you actually research, and try to weed out fact from fiction, you will be shocked at what you learn, and more than likely you'll feel a little sheepish for being so close-minded all this time.

      I actually spent an hour digging through google and I found plenty of websites that explain the collapse, none of them citing thermal temperature from burning jet fuel (which I never claimed to be the cause, by the way).

      The prime culprit seemed to be shoddy workmanship/ shortcuts, fallible design, combined with the stress of the impact. Even the titanic sank, after all.

      Besides, I find it just as easy to believe that the company who constructed the towers took liberties and perhaps some unethical shortcuts in the design and construction of the building. Either way, it won't be the figures in the shadows whose heads roll.

      I reserve judgment until I see a smoking gun.

    • In Oklahoma City they closed it off claiming there were more explosives......at the towers the rubble was tougher to sort through and cover up.....

    • Oh and don't forget that the WTC was bombed once before in the 90's which may account for the traces of explosives "discovered". It is amazing how bomb residue can infiltrate the most isolated of places.

      There are many reputable journals that discuss this phenomenon. Google them.

      The vast majority conclude that the combination of the multiple impacts and compromised structural integrity in part due to faulty design/workmanship caused the eventual collapse.

      The titanic was as un-sinkable as the WTC's were un-collapsable. Our achievements are regularly outmatched by our arrogance.

    • The truth is rarely as much fun, interesting, or sensational as the possibilities created by imaginative individuals. There were too many witnesses to the attacks (and footage) to write them off. I even heard rumors that Hunter S. Thompson died after finding the smoking gun indicating that 9/11 was an inside job.

      I just need to see some more proof before I believe that it wasn't just smelly Islamic extremists. Actually, religion as justification for mass murder is a lot more believable if one takes history into account.

      These conspiracy theory posts definitely capture ad revenue through viewership, though, so good job contributing to those globalist interests so adamantly opposed.

      You mean by excavating the site and analyzing the data personally? Because every other avenue of research is just the regurgitation of another man's claims. After all, if one cannot believe the majority of the scientists and engineers who concluded that the towers fell as a result of multiple impacts and structural/design flaws, then one cannot believe anything apart from his own senses and experiences. Then again...this could all be The Matrix!

      No credible evidence exists to back your claim that the WTC attacks were an inside job unless you are willing to discount the thousands of learned people and witnesses who claim the opposite. The planes definitely hit the towers, that much is indisputable. As far as the rest goes, from a strategical standpoint why would it matter if the towers collapsed or not in the end? The effect of the attack had been achieved already.

    • Also: Tower 7 was a stable building not hit by falling debris, with only a few isolated floor fires in its middle (fires so tame that sprinklers should've handled).

      They let the fires burn for a while and then suddenly.... BOOM the whole thing falls into itself.

    • Yes, Tower 7 was professionally demolished. Look up "tower 7" on youtube and watch the videos.

      Sadly, our government *at the very least* allowed Sept 11 to happen, just as they allowed Pearl Harbor to happen. I personally think some branches (such as the CIA) had direct involvement.

      And that's very sad.

      1. Important world event happens.
      2. Effects of event create lesser known event. Usually not reported about because first event was much more important and relevant.
      3. Retards catch wind of it and fly off the deep end, claiming that everything from secret societies to dinosaurs is responsible. Soon it consumes their lives and they start cutting the number 23 into their skin.
      4. Any credibility they once had is gone, as they finally finish their essay, half written in fecal matter.
      5. Idea presented. World laughs, except for every other conspiracy nut, who know what they've gone through.

      The world is not out to get you/me/us. Stuff happens. Good and bad.

    • My recollection from bldg.7 was that it was purposefully brought down on 9/11/01 because it was partially damaged by bldgs. 1&2.

      I did find it strange at the time that they had to bring it down that same day. It was like they already had it set up to blow beforehand and all they needed to do was push a button. I distinctly remember it being reported that it (bldg 7) was purposefully demolished.

      No, but we ARE talking about physical elements that would have already been in trace amounts. Regardless how well they were stored, these trace elements would have decomposed a great deal by now; it's got to do with this really radical new physical theory called "entropy" that was proposed a mere 200-some years ago.
