G8 Italy Protests: George Clooney & Greenpeace

afitzgerald
World leaders gathered this week in L'Aquila, Italy for the G8 conference. They also attracted the attention of protestors from around the world. Many of them were anti-capitalism demonstrators - a common sight at G8 events. L'Aquila though, is the site of the devastating earthquake Italy saw months ago - and so many, including George Clooney, spoke out about the need to help the people of the town who are still displaced. Additionally, Greenpeace held demonstrations at separate coal-fired plants - urging G8 leaders to come to far-reaching agreements on reversing climate change.

    • Look at how many brainwashed people are. Wrapped into the fearmongering and slavery put out by centralized coercive monopolies (government). What is even worse is that these people don't understand the value of property rights and how important individual liberty is towards suing corporations for pollution. So these people do NOT want to protect your liberties and they want to enslave you to their bureaucrats...so that this International government can fix the earth getting to hot?!?!?......am I missing something here? Is this really what people believe will happen? I mean, seriously? People really think that government can fix these problems?!? The very problems created by government and the "common good" who propped up corporations over individual rights?!?!? Wow, whatever.....
