Sen. Baucus Banked $1,892,999 from Health Companies in 2008

Numbers speak louder than words. From 2003 through the end of 2008, Senator Baucus received nearly $2 million in contributions from the health care and insurance industries. Only presidential candidates John McCain (R-AZ: $7,690,168), John Kerry (D-MA: 7,453,749), and party-switching Arlen Spector (D-PA: $2,214,653) have received more.

    • Money certianly talks on capitol hill. Any one accepting money on behalf of the very wealthy insurance health care industry should be bought up on charges of conflict of intrests.
We the people shoud not have to be told by the dictatorial insurance companys what will and wont be paid for on a reveiw basis. They now decide how long your hospitol stay is and what treatments are considered experimental.
I had a brain tumur that had to come out, it was sitting on top of my brain stem and ceating a condition called AOH. The neurosurgon was very good and he sank a hole to the center of my head to get the tumur.
The insurance company only allowed a hospitol stay of eighteen hours for a surgury that I only had a one in two chace of surviving. Would you much rather insurance regulation or the same dictatorship that we have now. The money dictators will try and keep power in any way they can.

    • Feinstein Opposes Obama's Heath Care Reform: Insurance Industry her Sixth Largest Campaign Donor at $300,000.

This is the biggest problem with health care reform in Washington. Too many Congressmen are on insurance company campaign contribution (i.e. payoff?) payrolls.
