Jamie Neale, 19, of Muswell Hill, London, has been found alive in the Australian bush. He had been missing in the Blue Mountains since July 3.

Jamie's father, Richard Cass, flew to Australia to join the search earlier this month and was preparing to leave Australia when Jamie was found by bushwalkers.

He's suffered exhaustion and dehydration and is currently recovering in the hospital.

Mr Cass said his son must be "the only teenager in the world" to go on an expedition like that without his mobile phone.

    • I heard his dad on the radio this morning saying something along the lines of.. "he is a bit dazed, looks a bit frail but he's ok. I think it's him..."

Don't quote me on that, i don't think they were his exact words but it was funny! Classic :)

    • Love the quote from his dad:

“When I've seen the mistake after mistake he's made — I can't say I'd kill him because it would just spoil the point of him being back. But I'm going to kick his arse. The millions that have been spent on this search, the man hours and woman hours that have gone into it. There were 50 guys in yellow jackets out looking for him but I can see how difficult it is to spot one stupid kid in a dark blue jacket under the trees.

"His plans were to go to south-east Asia next but he can forget that now. I think he has put his mother through enough.”
