During the Iranian protests GlobalPost's correspondent on the ground was arrested and jailed for over 3 weeks on suspicion of "collecting information for enemies" by the ever paranoid Iranian government.
Iran is now reported to be one of the most dangerous destinations for journalists.

The detention and deportation of journalists has been a really troubling aspect of what's been happening in Iran. It's a more traditional way of muting reports about unrest - and it seemed when the government's first attempts to do so failed they just got more aggressive with who they were picking up.
