Washington is caught up in a political scandal centering on former Vice President Dick Cheney. It follows a move by the new CIA director Leon Panetta to cancel a secret plan to find and kill Al-Qaeda leaders.

He says that, while in office, Cheney ordered the agency to withhold information about the anti-terror program from Congress.

    • Yeah.. so that her son would be put into the limelight? or her husband? I doubt it was the CIA. If they did want to get rid of her, I'm sure they would have had to wait in a VERY long line...

    • ya think? what about georgia? poor georgia right? why in the hell were they attacking russian peacekeepers? they had a history of doing ethnic cleansing against the south ossentians, and they attacked during the beijing olympics. supposedly cheney and mccain had offered them our support, in a bid to make mccain more electable. of course the cia might have had a hand in it.
