New York teen Cheyenne Cherry pleaded guilty to putting her former roommate’s kitten into a 500-degree oven and walking out because she didn’t want to hear the dying kitten’s cries or desperate scratching on the oven door.

      I think it's actually racism that she was sentenced for such a RIDICULOUS amount of time.

      A cat is a sweet fuzzy animal with which you form a bonding relationship. A lobster and a roach provide no entertainment or relationship. Their only good uses are food and squishing.

      Obviously it all depends on your relationship with the animal. Are you socially retarded? This planet is overrun with creatures and it's not only impractical to pretend to 'care equally about every single animal', it's impossible. Additionally, it's very rewarding to develop a close relationship with a single animal such as a dog. Have you never owned a pet and cared more for it than other creatures? Come on.       First of all, I've never owned a cat. Second of all, I have no idea what half the crap you typed was. Thirdly, I've been accused of a billion things on Current, but it's interesting for the first time to be accused of '[not knowing] the difference between an animal and a human being'. Usually I'm the one criticizing the 'global warming' 'eco' groups of caring more for some concept called 'the environment' than human life. It's eternally loyal. Also, dogs domesticated themselves. That means when people were Neanderthals, dogs followed us around for scraps of food.     • animals really get on my nerves too. i could never do anything close to that though. once i closed the door to my room while my father's dog was in it and fed him a loaf of bread. i knew that he did not like soda and ginger beer made him run away after sniffing it. unfortunately, all that i had for him to drink was ginger beer. and after a loaf of bread...

      that seems cruel to me anymore. but putting an animal in an oven? i wish some ghostly force would have paralyzed her in front of that oven so that she could watch it all go down.

    • some guy at my school found a kitten outside and he did the same thing in one of the school's microwaves! they expelled him, and he got jumped by a bunch of people.

      it's vile and despicable and she should be put into a 500 degree oven herself!
