Execution for religious belief is never justified.
Right now in North Korea it is a struggle just to survive and eat if you are not a member of the ruling class. It is a brutal, horrible place to be, regardless of religious affiliation.

Thargor19, please realize that the only reason they view religion as a threat is because of the strict totalitarianism. They can't have religion because now, the government has absolute control of morality, and thus justification for rebelling becomes much harder to find.

Such a daft collection of wishy-washy, we think he said that she said maybe it's possible I haven't seen in quite a while. Slow news day in the BBC it would seem.
If we're going to do the whole moral indignation thing, why not direct it at a more convenient target such as a far more open, English-speaking developed nation more than happy to execute children and the intellectually disabled?

as fucked up and violent and war mongering as n korea is, i like that fact that religion is a threat to them and is recognized nationally. though i dont perpetuate, condone enforce or otherwise permit violence or condemnation against anyone for their religious or any views, I like the idea that a govt would separate itself from such a money generating system as religion. now say if this was france or someplace nationally criticizing organized religions as a political force then i believe this would be admirable.
