They are suing President Barack Obama, asking a court to halt the deportations of their parents until Congress overhauls U.S. immigration laws.
The children, who gathered Wednesday at the Miami nonprofit American Fraternity to draw attention to their cause, say their constitutional rights are being violated because they will likely have to leave the country if their parents are forced to go.
Some children said their families didn't have enough money to pay for school supplies because the bread winning parent had been deported, and some are at risk of losing their homes. They also say they are suffering psychological and physical hardship.

This is such BS! These children are under the legal jurisdiction of their illegal parents. For all of us immigrants who waited for our LEGAL immigration status to be approved, who worked within the immigration rules to become naturalized, who understand EXACTLY why America is the destination of choice.
These parents should be shot twice, once for the illegal crossing and then again for subjecting their children to this. OK, maybe a third time for perpetrating this fraud on the American people.
Americans are the most generous people on the planet and this group INSISTS on manipulating the system to their own advantage. THIS IS BS. - 2 years ago

Until the laws are rewritten this is the only answer...sucks but it's true. Our economy can not sustain pouring money into pockets that don't give back to the govt. It's on it's last leg as it is.

You're all right, we should all obey they law and do what ever the gov't tells us and believe what ever the gov't and news say. No need for compassionate and intelligent decision...were Americans. Just let the laws decide our morals. You all make me fucking sick

Well, it's in our best interest to obey the law, for real. If we don't, and we're illegal, we could be deported.
Compassion and intelligent decision has nothing to do with it--- the law is the law. You don't like it? Then change the law. But until you do that, the law is the law.

Don't confuse compassion with responsibility. You can't ignore the basics. There may be a handful of stories you can sell here, but that doesn't mean we throw away the rules.
Why don't you go set up a tent city in Juarez and help them process their paperwork. Maybe you can volunteer your time to work with INS to investigate each case. Feed the family while you're waiting to process them through? You won't, but you want all of us to, without knowing the story. Don't force the rest of the country to ASSUME each case is worthy.

Who would the children be sueing if the parents were in prison?? There parents were breaking the Law. There for they were punished. The children have every right to be with there parents if they so chose. Where ever that may be but if they want to be In the U.S. they must let ther parents Go.

No one is "starving" in South America, they are just poor. The parents have no one to blame but themselves.

These folks knew they had broken the law. These folks chose to go the "easy route"- don't bother applying for citizenship, don't bother taking the tests, don't bother with the swearing in ceremony- just live off of Americans. And now they're crying their eyes out. boo hoo. They deliberately chose to put their child in this situation, now, when our country's laws are being enforced, they say "no fair". Obey our laws, and you wouldn't have a problem like this.

Fucking bigot assholes...you say they knew the risk...how do you think it compared to starvation and disease if they stayed where they were? They only want to improve their family's life...same as your parents did when they flooded to this continent way back when!!! You are an immigrant, so are you're family elders. If you don't like the situation and life here in the US, go be an immigrant somewhere better and see how your treated like a dog. Better yet, go somewhere awful, leave everything behind, and feel the desperation of trying to get to somewhere better that you know for a fact exists. I bet you'll be blowing and stealing your way within days!!

Yes, I am descended from immigrants. HOWEVER, my great grandparents came here LEGALLY. They chose to be respectful and OBEY the laws of their new country. Yes, they wanted to improve their families life- but they chose to do it without BREAKING THE LAW. Is it really so difficult to obey our country's laws? Since these illegals choose to ignore our laws they need to get out of our country, and come back when they decide they will follow our laws, and become US citizens- not leeches.

My grandparents came here from "the old country", Italy. My grandfather taught himself to read and write English so he could be ready to become a US citizen. He and my grandmother studied for the test and couldn't wait until they were citizens of America. He was proud, indeed, when he passed the test and he could say he was an American.
They waited their turn, came here legally, and became productive, tax-paying citizens. They broke no laws so they never had to hide from the law or worry about being deported.
Many illegals come here and immediately have children, thinking the children will save them from deportation.

Well, you could always adopt the kids, regardless of their citizenship!
Well, are you? Are you going to take that responsibility?
When the chips are down, are you going to carry the load for these people?... or are you jut another liberal, weekend warrior, "armchair general?"

We were law abiding immigrants before we came to America, and we stayed law abiding after we arrived. Not only did we have to obey the laws, but there were things like health screenings and financial responsibilities we had to agree to. There's no bigotry there.
Do you not know when you are being played... a'hole? You won't be able to recognize your precious country if you have no respect for the immigration laws.

Rationality is being able to see the clear fact that amnesty sets a precedent (which is how our "racist nationalists" courts make rulings.)
How many people need to flood the U.S. population before liberals begin to say to themselves, "OKay, maybe this place is getting a little to much like China?"
Resources are NOT infinite, and as it stands the U.S. GDP can hardly support growth for the current U.S. population, let alone dumping all of the "unwanted" or "misplaced" of other failed countries into the U.S.!
There is nothing racists about this logic! If you think that it is, then why don't you pay someone else bills with what's left of your income, while they take a spare room in your house?
Is it too much for me to expect that you be responsible for anyone else beyond yourself and your family?

And the American authorities who do these things can't act beyond the letter of the law. Apparently they are mentality incapable of rational thought to consider all aspects and ramifications of a given action or situation, either that or they're racist nationalists and don't give a flying crap about anyone who isn't "American".
