Two toddlers shoot siblings in US

Two young children have been shot by their siblings in the space of 24 hours in the United States.

In Las Vegas, a two-year-old girl was in a critical condition after being shot by her four-year-old brother at their home, police said.

In South Carolina, a four-year-old boy was shot in the stomach by his three-year-old brother after the little boy found a gun.

    • You are so right Patio_Patty, after all, those innocent kids just simply went and took the guns and shot. They didn't go to the store and buy them and then load them.
      There are a few steps along the way and the parents failed at each opportunity. However, I do feel badly for those parents. Because they are already locked up in their hearts and minds forever, knowing that they helped their children get killed or become murderers.

    • When you let a kid play with a video game where he gets shot, gets back up and shoots back you have already pre-programmed them into thinking that's how things work in the "real world". Where on Earth are the parents when these little kids are playing with real guns? Man! Perhaps if we consider locking up parents who don't care properly for their children that would be a start. This just makes me sick!

    • nothing more than darwin at work.

      keep your guns, get yourself a gun lock, you're responsible if an underage child dies because you failed to properly secure a weapon.

    • OMG!!!
      This is sickening and angering!
      Excuse me gun haters, please hate the criminals and hate the parents who didn't lock those guns AND hide the locked gun case.
      But don't hate the kids and don't hate the gun companies.
      You wouldn't tell the flatware and siverware people to stop including knives in their place settings. After all, some moron killers use those dull knives to stab people too.
      You wouldn't tell car manufacturers to stop producing cars, because there are some idiot big shot murderers who know they are drunk, and go driving anyway.

    • The issue of guns[in society] is similar to,"do we de-claw the cat";
      If de-clawed, no more risk of infections from scratches or damaged upholstery,... small birds and misc.rodentia stay unstressed and alive, and "other" cats come to no damage,..(the declawed however,....).Some are simply more comfortable with their cats "that way". But it cant really go OUT anymore.
      Some simply feel that a de-clawed cat,...is no longer a CAT. If thats the price of "domestication",...some would "just say no". There is not a damn thing the masses exchange worth the price of being clawless. We are pack animals 2nd,...Individuals 1st.

      Um....not an apt comparison at all. Claws are part of a cat, and de-clawing surgery is essentially the same as cutting off all of your fingers and toes at the first knuckle.
