To hide the truth, Israel Arrests Palestinian activist

West Bank, July 24, (Pal Telegraph) - Palestinian sources reported Wednesday that a resident of the occupied West Bank village of Naalin was arrested upon returning from Geneva.

He testified there before a UN committee charged with investigating the Israeli occupation army offensive in Gaza earlier this year, where 1600 Palestinians killed, including 420 children and more than 5300 others injured.

Mohammad Srur, who was injured during a protest in Naalin in which two other Palestinian residents of the village were killed, testified before the Goldstone committee along with Jonathan Pollack of the Activists Against the Wall organization.

Upon returning from Switzerland two days ago, Srur was arrested by Israeli occupation security officials at the Allenby Bridge crossing and is currently being held at the Ofer Prison.

His brother Moussa said that Mohammad had first contacted his family on Wednesday, and that he had not been questioned since his arrest. The family says the arrest is an attempt to hurt Srur because of his testimony before the UN committee. His brother rejected the notion that the arrest was a result of any transgression on his brother's part, and said the latter had received permission to embark on the excursion.

Israeli occupation security sources claim Srur was detained for questioning on suspicion that he was involved in "terror activity" and that his visit to Geneva had no bearing on the arrest.

    • What's really sad is that this is like an everyday occurrence.

      And then Americans act all surprised, "why can't they just get along?"

      Pretty simple answer. Israel hates them, wants their land and can't figure out what the fuck to do with them.

      The world is a much simpler place than most folks realize.

    • Im getting quite tired of Israel and of Israelis who think this is acceptable behavior. Their war crimes are evident and numerous; so why does the world continue to accept this?!?! grrrr!!

    • What a bunch of israeli BS. Its quite obvious WHY this man was arrested. Another attempt by Israeli to shut someone up that brings out the truth.
      btw, I was supposed to be at this meeting, having prepared some research and unfortunately, a family emergency kept me from attending. Nevertheless, Israelis war crimes have been clearly proved. and will continue to be proved
