911 Caller in Gates arrest never referred to "black suspects"

So now this puts another suspicion on why the police officers would think that a black man in the house was a criminal and not the homeowner

    • Here's the telling part:

      "Attorney Wendy Murphy, who represents Whalen, also categorically rejected part of the police report that said Whalen talked with Sgt. James Crowley, the arresting officer, at the scene.

      "Let me be clear: She never had a conversation with Sgt. Crowley at the scene," Murphy told CNN by phone. "And she never said to any police officer or to anybody 'two black men.' She never used the word 'black.' Period."

      So, what to make of Sgt. Crowley's report, "She went on to tell me that she observed what appeared to be two black males with backpacks on the porch of XX Ware Street. She told me that her suspicions were aroused when she observed one of the men wedging his shoulder into the door as if he was trying to force entry."

      Clearly, the person caught lying in this case is Sgt. Crowley.

      Knowing how damaging it would be for the PD if Sgt. Crowley is exposed as a liar, Police Commissioner Robert Haas has backpedaled on the report by saying the report is a summation of events and not necessarily based on the initial call.

    • no racial profiling? are you insane? this was still blatant racism and racial profiling... the caller didnt say it was a black suspect... and yet the officers who arrived thought that Gates was the "suspect" rather than the "home owner"?!

      THAT IS RACISM!!

      because of the neighborhood a black man couldnt be the inhabit of the house?!

      maybe you would feel more comfortable on the fox news forums...
