    • I wonder what msnbc would think of you inserting your own little personal pop up ad into their video on every frame except the first few to make it harder to find.

You seem drawn to scams like a moth to a flame.

    • If you take a money, banking, and finance economic course or public policy economic course you will see how difficult it is to measure economic indicators, all are faulty, how difficult it is to manipulate them, all are faulty, and how effective they are in the long run, all are faulty. This means it takes a long time to inaccurately determine what is going on in the economy, longer to determine an ineffective strategy to arbitrarily manipulate or trick the economy into doing what you arbitrarily think it should be doing, and finally longest to determine it didn't work. Seriously most of the Feds manipulative power is literally psychosomatic. They even admit that economists think the Fed has very little to NO power to increase long term GDP and almost all of their manipulations have small and short lived effects on the economy most of which are destabilizing. I'm not kidding this is what the textbooks read. The very idea that the FED is smart enough to micromanage a global economy is ridiculous. Almost all the powers and responsibilities the Fed has have private components that work as well or better without the FEDs artificial manipulations. And no this is not some free market ideology this other countries CBs have different structures and their financial systems function even when the CBs lack specific characteristics. All the lacked powers of CBs taken together could indicate that the FED may very well be unnecessary. I tried to eliminate the econ speak its obfuscating.

    • This is a great analogy and I'm surprised they did this. My favorite part is the ant on the top left of the camera at 5:07 though. That was great.

      here's another great analogy:

blaming the fed for a financial crisis is like blaming liquor stores for alcoholism.

just because you have the power to fuck yourself over doesn't mean you should. the banking system is sound as long as people pay their debts.

    • So Ron Paul exposed the FED and MSNBC actually covered it...amazing. They are taking moves from the FOX (which aired a similar story a couple months ago) playbook in order to boost their ratings.

    • When I listen to Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich, I cannot logically understand how the Americans could accept any of the other candidates. When I hear how much money Ron Paul and Dennis had to spend and how mush Hilary and Obama had to spend, I can only conclude that Obama bought and paid for every vote and every soul behind every vote. If Americans are so hungry for war and blood and pain and misery our constitution is not for them. If you want to follow Obama as he leads you into Afghanistan and god only knows where from there you should don your war togs and follow him on the bloody path to Eurasia. But leave the peace loving Americans and their sons and daughter here at home to grow up and have a family and follow their dream. There is no dream in war it is only Chaos and destruction. Look how America destroyed Iraq and is now spending outrageous sums to repair the destruction they caused in the first place. This is exactly what happens in every war and the money has got to come from some one in order to rebuild and where do you think this money comes from? The world bankers bankroll the destruction of the world and the same World Bankers bankroll the rebuilding. So the World Bankers are always busy counting their wealth. Is it any wonder that JP Morgan repeated Rothschild's favorite tune. "Give me the control of the money and I dont give a damn who makes the laws". The Big World Bankers can control everything from war and peace to famine and feast. And you thought you were free and knew all of the ins and outs to survival. Ha...if you have a price and waqnt to sell your soul you can find a willing buyer in the world banking system. But you must be color blind because the Money that comes out of the Federal Reserve Bank is not Green. It is soaked and marinated in young red 18 year old American blood. It even has a dirty smell to it. The Israeli's have the same problem only their money is soaked in red Arab blood. Its a bloody world and the green peace is still looking for something green and it iwll not surface until the blood is washed away with the fruit of truth and Justice and justice is locked up behind its own bars and cannot escape until the people have reached a frenzie and realize just what has happened while they have been playing with their IPods and Cell Phones with its little gadgets. The time will come when their eyes are open but all is dark around them. Our greatest fear and danger comes from the abuse of the untouchables.

    • The same thing that happened back in the late 20's (beginning of the Great Depression) can be blamed for our woes today... 10 years ago, Clinton abolished laws that had been established during the Pecora Comission just after the Depression - Roughly, they made it illegal for Banks and Security Firms to do the same job... When Clinton got rid of these laws, the banks picked up where they had been forced to lay off of so many years before... And it only took 10 years to bankrupt the USA. Yet they blame Bush (not that he is some saint) because the Pres is a Dem and so was Clinton... Bush can rot in Hell for all the other stuff he's done but it wasn't as much his fault as that of the banks, the Fed, and Clinton.

    • It would seem to me that the media is beginning to see this as a losing battle for the Fed, and is attempting to save face. "We were with you all along, America."

      Yeah, right.

The past few weeks I've been reading nothing but how HR 1207 will limit the Fed's ability to do it's job (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/23/AR2009072303004....). That statement goes to show you just how ignorant the powers-that-be think *the* People are. Anyone with a 3rd grade education can read HR 1207 and realize that it couldn't possibly do anything to hamper the Fed's powers as is (unless the People catching on to the corruption in our government counts). The person who wrote that article surely is intelligent enough to understand that. Therefore, I must assume that the article was intentionally written to sway opinion -- propaganda, if you will.

I could care less about the Fed... we'll be screwed no matter what occurs. If they find a problem, they'll find a favorable solution (to them, that is). They'll sell it to the lemmings, and all will be good in Happy Fun Land.

What I do care about is what this represents. This bill is in the best interests of the People -- let us see the accounting records for the organization responsible for setting monetary policy in the US (you know... that same organization that's partially responsible for the current mess we're in... spending trillions of dollars of OUR money under a veil of secrecy). I am even more excited that support grew without the help of the media... in fact, it grew *despite* their efforts to hamper it. What this means is that the People are waking up from their long 50 year slumber.

      Good morning, America!
