Bill Bonner here at The Daily Reckoning pretty much nailed the problem when he said that “During the 2001-2007 period, credit in the United States increased by $22 trillion. The nation’s GDP increased only by $4 trillion.”

Yeah and all during those years the credit card companies flooded our mail boxes with already filled out credit card applications. And what happened when the people conldn't pay their credit card bills? They upped the interest ratesa and made it even more difficult to pay. All credit card companies should be forced to make up the difference for hasseling, luring and tempting the public with credit card addiction. There is no difference between a credit card dealer and a drug dealer. They did their share to bring the country down.
