WASHINGTON (AP) -- The House has passed a far-reaching food safety bill in the wake of the recent outbreak of salmonella in peanuts that killed at least nine people.

    • There are still inadequacies in this bill to be addressed. Please read. Amazing to see that a bill just as important as a healthcare bill doesn't get nearly as much attention. This is important to your health and to the environment, and to the livelihoods of small farmers. Some inroads have been made, however, we need an even stronger bill to pass through Senate that is equitable to all.
