Baltimore? Trash-More? More-Trash?
"Public Trash" cans meant to curb littering are now being used to dispose of home trash bags as pyramids are now being built around them. Corner stores are throwing thin clear bags on the corner waiting for them to be moved. It was stated that three 32 gallon cans (96 gallons) was acceptable and tightly fitted lids have always been the rule. That's all well and good providing that your lid isn't stolen the first night you put it out or if your can is even thrown near your yard (or isn't stolen as well).
I really wouldn't have a problem with this myself I've never had a problem putting my trash cans out and hunting them down when I come home from work, but then again I'm not the typical resident. I oppose it only because the Mayor (former City Counsel President) should have known that this type of disobedience was to follow.
In Baltimore City, Maryland rats out number people on the low end at least two to one. Vacant houses far as the eyes can see (in some neighborhoods) and now with the ever-present stench of improperly disposed trash this truly is "The Greatest City In America."

absolutley untrue!
Mayor Dixon's idea to change the service frequency, here in Baltimore, has had no noticable effect in my neighborhood. It has saved the city massive amounts of money and the jobs of many city workers.
I can understand how some other parts of the city are having problems adjusting, mainly because they are not smart enough to recycle and too lazy to take care of thier own neighborhoods.
Please do not judge my hometown by the bullshit being dished out here. Baltimore is still a safe and beautiful city with an amazing harbour, incredible resturaunts and a thriving local music and art scene. - 2 years ago

My sister lived in Baltimore for many years and every time I went to visit her I was amazed by the litter. I know it is not all from Baltimore but the inner harbor is just disgusting. I cannot imagine how it is now with these changes in trash removal. I hope for your sake that things change soon.
