America's healthcare is broken

denport
America's for profit healthcare is broken. $400 billion in extra cost. Billions in corporate profits. Hugh CEO salaries. Pre existing conditions not covered. Expensive co-pay. Hugh deductibles and hugh monthly premiums. Plans limit choices for doctors and hospitals.Denied claims. Care based on ability to pay.

    • If you distort the market signals (profit) you only go to help advance the oligopolizers. Profit margins are not a bad thing, especially when the market has low barriers to entry and the services must compete. When government takes over(like our insurance indsutry today - and don't be fooled....the insurance corporate system today is FILLED with government lobbyists and bureaucrats, government is the biggest corporation out there) then shortages increase, price rationing occurs, and all signals of production through supply and demand will be inaccurate and future production levels will decrease. All revenue will be oversubsidized and the quality of care wil decrease as governments dictate who gets what and who dies as while funding abortions by using guns to steal tax dollars to fund murder. The healthcare industry we have today is already riddled with bureaucrats, politicians, and lobbyists just waiting to profit of off the political system. Government run anything limits consumer choice while increasing costs across the board leading to ong-run unsustainability much like our current government propped up healthcare insurance industry. What we need to do is use voluntary markets to force the rich to compete for our dollar. At this point, we have simply centralized all our insurance carriers to the government mandates and regulations that are not fair! This link explains much more.

    • I am happy to post on this subject, and I would be considered "right wing". Democrats and Republicans all have conspired to exempt themselves from "our" system of health care and retirement. Justice for all would be served by forcing them to use the same systems that they have voted for us! They are criminals parading as "leaders" and should be serving in Ancient Rome rather the the U.S. House and Senate! If their was a "PIG" party, they would all be members!

I'm sorry, but all of these people being rounded up by the insurance industry to go to the upcoming August townhall meetings and raise hell ARE SCUM. They might be ignorant, they might be misinformed, they may be being used, but to be lead around by the nose like this on such an important issue for the future of the country.....they are scum.

    • add to this list: hospitals owned by doctors who get reimbursed by insurance and the government 'fee for service' payments, for services upon which the public's life literally depends.
