    • Skip this dumb book, watch Idiocracy by Mike Judge, you will see the future.
But then again, if we've morally disintegrated since the 50's when segregation was legal i'm a bit confused. Family values included Archie Bunker.

    • Bottom line : It is much easier to abuse illiterate nincompoops than educated well-informed citizens..

Ignorance is the downfall of all cultures and we are about to hit bottom.

Chris Hedges is one of the last to have the balls to call the shots as they are... Spot on !

"Kid's heads are filled with so many nonfacts that when they get out of school they're totally unprepared to do anything. They can't read, they can't write, they can't think. Talk about child abuse. The school system as a whole qualifies. Go to the library and educate yourself if you've got any guts... " - Frank Zappa

    • Being clever, applying thought, and thinking about issues on a greater scale than just how they impact #1(you) is much more difficult and time consuming than being stupid, and allowing yourself to just take it easy and ignore simple facts.
