Assassination Danger Increased by Department of Homeland "Security"

Ronald Kessler, author of "In the President’s Secret Service" appeared on “The Daily Show with John Stewart" Monday, August 3, 2009, and reported that since the Secret Service is now managed by the Department of Homeland Security (instead of the Department of the Treasury), it has stopped using magnetometers to screen all attendees at functions the President attends. Kessler said that he has spoken with former deputy directors of the Secret Service who said they would never stop such screenings, since such practices increase the risk of assassination.
Is there a planned coup against Barack Obama and the Executive Branch, masterminded by a cabal of functionaries who control the Department of Homeland Security, or are the people in charge of that department simply so stupid and lazy that they cannot guarantee the security of a single American?
It is time to quickly and comprehensively remedy this situation before Mr. Obama is killed or injured. There is no plausible excuse for such a complete dereliction of responsibility and common sense.
