ADL Says Use Of Nazi Imagery In Health Care Debate 'Outrageous And Inappropriate'

New York, NY, August 7, 2009 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today called attempts by some opponents of health care reform to bring Nazi imagery into the debate, "outrageous, deeply offensive and inappropriate" and condemned remarks by talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, who compared President Obama's health care logo to a swastika, and policies championed by the Democratic Party to those of the Nazis.

"Regardless of the political differences and the substantive differences in the debate over health care, the use of Nazi symbolism is outrageous, offensive and inappropriate," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director and a Holocaust survivor. "Americans should be able to disagree on the issues without coloring it with Nazi imagery and comparisons to Hitler. This is not where the debate should be at all."

In recent days, street protests against President Obama's health care plan have gotten ugly, with some protestors appearing in photographs wearing swastika and SS symbols.

That prompted Rush Limbaugh to remark on his radio program that, "They accuse us of being Nazis, and Obama's got a healthcare logo that's right out of Adolf Hitler's playbook." He went on to compare certain Democratic Party policies to those of the Nazis

    • Absolutely brilliant metalcookiesy70, you young people surprise me everyday with the common sense you already have. There are ten times the good thinking youth than one of their offsprings. A very short sighted logic in their case. Bring back the real conservatives that see things more logical.

    • Well said!~
I almost forgot that is what this is all about....

Hate and fear are the same, so if they hate then they must also fear, its true, because so many are stuck in their old ways, they think there could never be an end to their pleasures, to their constant hate, to their constant preaches, they literally going insane over change, its most likely thy put the previous president's doing under the rug, and try to expose Barack's faults.....!~

It explains so much! Its why they keep coming to you, me, and everyone else who opposes them, because they want us to be afriad, just like them!~

Its why they keep posting all of these nonsense posts, but I tell ya to never give up...

    • They can not help themselves metalcookiesxy70, it's become their new reality. After their leaders Bush and company keep them in fear for eight years and when a democratic election was held at the end of that tyranny
regime and an overwhelming number of Americans voted for a new leader that happens to believe in changing the fear mantra to a more positive outlook, then these poor mislead people try to cling to what makes them feels safe. FEAR. Fear of an educated leader, fear of change, fear of the unknown. I mean after all didn't George W Bush keep us safe for 7 years, except for that one thing 911. So many white people I am ashamed (I'm White) are stuck like a broken record on this black versus white master thing. They are a dying breed and need to be set striaght.
