Obama at first US-Canada-Mexico summit

Obama, Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harder will try to build on that earlier cooperation to handle an expected new wave of cases during North America's upcoming flu season.

With issues of drug trafficking, human smuggling, unfair trade agreements, border violence and other matters. Is it worth sending the president for a summit on the flu? Shouldn't they be focusing on other issues? What do you think?

    • Absolutely they should be focusing elsewhere. Such as getting some stability back to Mexico. Well...saying get it back is an overstatement, since it's never really been stable. But if you improve the overall standards of living in Mexico, the flu won't create such social upheaval and people can continue trying to better themselves. Mexico has a lot more to worry about than the swine flu. Their escalating violence concerning drug cartels should be at the top of their list. Legalize it and stop the cash flow to drug cartels.
