Living in the big sky state allows its citizens certain protection when it comes to medical marijuana. In 2004, 64% of the voters in Montana passed the medical marijuana initiative.

If you would like to obtain a permit in Montana, first you need to find a doctor who will recommend the marijuana to treat your illness or injury. If you find yourself in need of a compassionate doctor, the THC Foundation has clinics in Billings, Helena, and Missoula, so wherever you are there is a clinic nearby.
The application fee in Montana is $50. As soon as you send in your application materials and fee, you can contact a caregiver or local co-op to get help obtaining your medicine.
