    • Doesn't anyone think that adds are being pulled because the corps. are afraid that they will be boycotted by half the nation??

    • Today, Wal Mart pulled their sponsorship.

Lookes like all that hate and lies are not selling anymore.
Now there are other liars on Fox that need to lose support next.

    • Well if you point the finger enough it wil point back to yourself. He had to have known that would not fly. In the mainsteam media you cannot step that far to one side and expect the same treatment. Atleast we know how he really feels now.

can i ask were you quoted me saying that.
that sounds like something i used to believe. i most likely said that, i am just a man, i make mistakes, not like your boy in the white house.
all comments aside, this is setting a bad image of current to support this, i think. attacking the ONE conservative news channel by staging a boycott against its advertisers is not only bad for fox, but bad for American economy. I read that kraft was one of the companies advertising on fox. Can you imagine how many Americans are employed by kraft.
If the "mafia left" have nothing to worry about then they would look forward to scrutiny, not try to silence the only voice that opposes them on a nation level.
I read on your profile that you are against money and private property. My friend there will never be a UTOPIA in witch would accommodate your demands. When a large group of people all work, but don't exchange currency and own np land , it is called slavery.
I have health care, and money, and "private property" and i earned all of it with hard work. I don't know you personally but I'm guessing you work hard for a living. I know i do. I don't want to have to pick up the slack of people who don't share my initiative. I say let them stay lower class, I'm happy right in the middle.
This is not only hurting Glen beck and fox, but thousands of out countryman.

Interesting fact about Kraft... they are owned by Philip Morris... the maker of Marlboro and two or three dozen other cigarette companies... amongst many other ventures... yeah, those people... they are one of the largest companies in the world.

    • i'm glad to see Beck getting some negative feed back, but not because i think it will effect him but because i hope his viewers might wise up. Unfortunately, i don't think we will be seeing the end of Beck even if ALL the sponsors pull their ad. Rubert Merdock has admitted to using Fox "News" to push his agenda, and he's gotten so good at it that he may not care about losing a little bit of money.
But the sponsors pulling their ad is something...now what can we do about this Palin character?

I guess you missed on the 1st page of this post that I already suggested that.

When his show is cancelled they could cut out the middleman and Beck could go work on the Colbert Report since Colbert already gets so much material from Beck already it would be easy and put to better use.

    • It is one thing to disagree with President Obama or anyone else on policy issues and certain rights are allowed as protected speech under the FIRST AMENDMENT, but a caricature of Barack Obama with the facial makeup of the 'Joker' from the "BATMAN" movie portrayed by the late Heath Ledger is going just too far. The sponsors who are essentially pulling the plug on Glenn Beck's show have apparently had enough of his over-the-top demagoguery.

The one thing that makes this image disturbing is that in the movie, the "Joker" was an unfeeling, depraved and twisted psychopath with no moral center. The message is clear: America is heading in a new direction and although people still have the right and freedom to dissent and make known their grievances, but not at the risk of allowing someone to be racially, and maliciously slandered or libeled. Other people such as Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Neal Boortz, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and Mark Levin need to take notice because one of them may be next.

Can you start your own crazy show and become famous for it?: Fuck yeah!! Go for it so you can offend people to the point they boycott you.

Is there other articles on this page that should be above this article?: Maybe, its your call.

    • Glen Beck just speaks what he believes in. As it turns out tons and tons of Americans think the same way. That is why he is so popular, same with O'rielly and Hannity and Rush. Extremely popular talk show hosts with millions and millions of people who think the same way. They are not news sources, just talk shows. They are tons more popular than the talk show hosts on the other networks. Fox is the most popular news network on cable. That is why they scare Msnbc and the Obama admin, who are one in the same. Fox is the only outlet that doesn't jizz in their pants when Obama walks into a room. For that I give them credit. The American people can tune them out if they so wish, but instead they have chosen to embrace Fox News, hence their powerful status. Sponsors may pull out, hell they pulled away from Letterman too. But the people will keep watching, because they think the same way.

    • dabne:

The people don't think the same way. They don't think much at all. Most people don't really give a shit about the government as long as they and their family have everything they need. Fox manipulates them using scare tactics and the next big threat on the horizon. Communism, Socialism, healthcare oh my! Clearly the network isn't doing its job because they seem to be failing in a pretty big way on the "news" part of their broadcasts. Viewers tend to be the least educated on the issues but they're sure as hell the angriest. For example, it seems to me that nearly everyone flipping a shit at town hall meetings with their Faux talking points think Obama's going to screw up their MEDICARE with government run healthcare. Really? Medicare's going to be destroyed by government run healthcare? The congressmen at these meetings must have been shocked by the ignorance.

That's without even addressing the "death panels." That whole idea is fucking absurd.
#1) How did that shit ever get broadcast?
#2) How could anyone believe it?
Millions of people actually believed the government was going to start exterminating old people because they cost too much. Tell me in what way is that ethical news?

    • This is a mediamatter.org story. So what. He will just get more sponsors to replace them. Does anyone know how much it costs to buy airtime on either of his radio program or tv show? Ha. Besides, Beck talks crap about Progressive insurance all the time because the founder of that company is a "progressive" liberal (hence the name), whom he disagrees with. Glenn's tv show is sucks, however anyone here getting excited over the idea of Glenn Beck disappearing, just makes me laugh. He has the third most listened to radio show in the country and his last two books have been New York Times bestsellers. He's not going away no matter how Mormon he is.

    • Don't get mad at me, but I admire Glenn Beck's skill. He is an amazing orator. If you listen to him and analyze his arguments, you'll see debate tactics that take advantage of the viewer's ignorance. It's a masterful process, and shows that at last a few people at Fox were well educated.

Unfortunately, Beck's style of news is unethical for a professed news organization. It's more preaching than news, and most of his audience prefers blind faith before reason.
Beck would probably counter that his work isn't news. He's admitted that he's "...an entertainer. 'I’m a rodeo clown,' he said in an interview, adding with a coy smile, 'It takes great skill.'"

If you use Beck's tactics, and take things out of context, you too can influence others to hear and do what you want.

For example, Beck said the following:
“The truth is — that you are the defender of liberty,” he said. “It’s not the government. It’s not an army or anybody else. It’s you. This is your country.”

Yes. This is our country- and in our America, we vote with our dollars- and the advertisers have heard!!! Protect your country! Be patriots- and DON'T BUY PRODUCTS PROMOTED ON GLENN BECK!!!!

Capitalism lives. Regulator- your country is safe.

and he is really got it right. So since we enduring the Bush catastrophe for 4 years or so, I tuned in and low and behold he was who he was back then a right wing slam machine. He has only got worse and the revealing
side of him that claims that he is a reformed alcoholic made sense then and it does now. I gave him a chance but that was time wasted and I'll never get back.

Yeah... but you do realize Rupert Murdoch (Owns Fox and many satellites/cable stations) owns a hefty piece of the media pie?

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Murdoch

It's not a democratic society when one man has a say in what information is available to the public.

In reality the liberal media is a very small portion of what's being expressed around the world. And because it's such a small voice it's attacked most often.

Seriously, read up a bit more before making this type of statement.

Just because you like it doesn't mean people like me have to, and because we don't like it, then we have the American right to voice that opinion in any non-violent way possible.

If Fox News has the right to free speech, then Americans have the right to speak freely about Fox News. If that something you don't want to hear, I think that Red State has a message board...

Glen Beck is hopelessly and painfully full of shit. He spouts ideas that most five year olds would have to think twice about.

Sadly we follow these people as if they knew better, without taking even a moment to research their ideas.

You see there are levels of ideas. A gray area, if you will... TV generally scrapes the surface and rarely digs deeper.

Glen Beck is the personification of this uneducated, opinionated ideal that a good portion of America flocks to.

I didn't want argue over punctuation. I honestly think it helps people understand each other, and I wanted to express that. Everything after that was mostly just fun responding about a pointless issue.

@ibrake: I dont feel better about myself now. I feel worse having actually spent time on it. Nevertheless, it is important to express ourselves well, regardless of where you're writing/talking.

FYI- I'm not an English teacher, nor do I want to be. My apologies if I've really offended you.
