He even got caught on The View, of all places, in a lie, then when he was asked if he researches his stories he said No. Then he mumbled and stuttered his way through the rest of the time. Glenn Beck actually used to be somewhat decent back in the day but lately, he's given in to a lot of conspiracy theories and left wing hate speech. He's a rage freak who now cares more about ratings than research.

I understand that you don't like everything he says, but it is also clear that when people expressed their negative views of him, you wanted them to "back them up". Several times you expressed your appreciation of his ability to report on topics others feared, etc. You are of course free to have your own views. I was simply commenting on the amount of time you have spent on this story, SEVERAL posts, for someone whose stories have been repeatedly proven innacurate, and who disseminates fear, racism, hate, etc. and seems to have disdain for anyone not supporting the status quo. If the sponsors think enough consumers will stop patronizing them over some issue or person, the sponsor usually backs away from the irritant. That's democratic capitalism, it's finally working...at least for now and in this instance.

The irony of it is that we've always been this way. We've always been a socialist country. In fact, no country has ever or will ever be purely capitalistic.

For one, Unless you are literally psychotic, you share with everyone certain moral convictions on human rights that force you to be socialist. If someone is bleeding to death after an accident do you think we should try to save their life regardless of their ability to pay? If you do, you are a socialist.

Then there are just certain things that are prohibitively expensive and inefficient to do on an individual or company by company basis. Can you imagine having only private roads? How would that effect the power of our capitalism? Public infrastructure and certain nationally standardized regulations can actually dramatically enhance our ability to be capitalists.

I would argue that because of our universal access to the internet and to our nation's great infrastructure and relatively stable society, it has never been easier to be capitalists. If you have good ideas and ample ambition, it has never been easier to succeed at starting a business or achieving some dream. Capitalists should stop complaining and start capitalizing.

We can debate what specific things we should do communally and what things should be left to the marketplace. We can debate the manner in which these shared endeavors are pursued. And we can debate the level (neighborhood, town, state, nation) at which to implement "socialism". But simply yelling Socialism! is a joke and if your wishes were ever to come true, you would be doomed.

I tuned in the other day and they had this lady anchor with a huge cross around her neck. That was not the problem but the problem was the lies she told.
