Glenn Beck says all of Obama's policies are driven by "Reparations"

Relevance in clip starts at 2:56.

It seems like a non-issue, Glenn Beck says insanely stupid things like this all the time. But this blatant act of race-baiting reaches back to racial backlash tensions not seen since the 1960's and the Watts riot.

Is Glenn Beck trying to incite racial violence? Along with the speech posted the other day here on current ( http://current.com/items/90599545_tipping-point-glenn-beck-fan-arrested-with-gun... ) which beckoned to a sort of Nixonian populism by exploiting the fracture this nation underwent in that era, it seems pretty clear to me.

What do you guys think?

    • i didn't immediately consider it racism but the level of irrational hysteria and the fact that the movement is made up almost exclusively of right wing, middle aged, white people kinda forces the reality on you.

they certainly wouldn't have considered bush a socialist if he did this, and they didn't consider him a threat to our country when he shredded the constitution and failed us repeatedly in our hours of need. They didn't even label clinton like this. So hmm...what's unique about obama....

      HMMMMMMMM

gotta admit, I'm pretty impressed with how cool obama is staying in the face of all this hostility. quite impressive.

    • I hope there isn't going to be some big racist backlash, we got far more serious issues than race in this country. Social inequalities that go beyond the bounds of race should be the real enemy. I think some are hoping for serious conflict as an excuse for taking more power and rights from the people.

    • But it's more serious than just some racist remark or the everyday fucktardery from Beck.

This is something different, something bigger. I think this might be the start of a huge racist backlash.

    • President Obama's father was not an American so why would he have reparation isssues? Beck is like something stuck to the bottom of your shoe. Needs scraped off. Keep writing those letters to Becks sponsors.
