It is hard to fathom what 7 billion people means. How much does the world population increase in a day? A week? A month? A year?
Read this, it will just blow you away. It is posed as a 'challenge' but the solution is posted at the bottom:
http://blogontheuniverse.org/2009/06/02/weekly-challenge-2-people-people-everywh...
Then think of the resources that need to be made available to provide basic needs.

One article outlines the water shortage problems India is going through and the next one overpopulation. South central Asia and Africa are going to be subject to serious social problems more so than they now suffer from. While the United States will fight for access to oil the next really substancial regional wars will be fought over the rights to fresh water. While we in North America are home to the largest percentage of the worlds fresh water the destabization of other parts of the world in their quest for fresh water is going to put an incredible strain on all people. That is with the exception of the military industrial complex that will be all ready to profit on the wars that emerge to fill their coffers some more.
As the world becomes more populated it becomes smaller and as it becomes smaller we become more vulnerable to extremist who will stop at nothing in their causes. Rest assured many will blame the United States for problems we didn't start, and we will still be the subject of scorn from the have nots as we are the haves. - 2 years ago

Why do most people who claim to be conservative hate the idea of conserving anything?

Why do people who claim to be liberal be so closed minded and are massive name callers. Not so flexible there. Seems a bit stiff like they have major joint problems.
Instead of liberal they should just be called feeble, don't you think?
I'll write congress.

The countries that reproduce the least (Japan, Denmark, Norway.....) are the countries that could probably produce/afford a vaccine.
The most overcrowded countries... probably not.
Let the conspiracy theories begin.

Well that disease better be pretty fucking beastly. The Black Plague wiped out around half a billion people, we should get three of those on order ASAP.

So the answer to everything is to just put stuff in your face? Right so screw making a distinction between justified or unjustified assertions, and forget the scientific method and common sense; if it’s stuff, then put it in your face. It’s just that simple.

This is one of the reasons why mother nature is so smart, she'll decide how many of us us too much. Disease, and global weather will play a much bigger part than any of us will. She may even squeeze in an earthquake or two trying to shake the fleas off her skin. Fleas=people.

That's crazy. The world is pretty much already at full capacity, how many more people can the earth possibly hold? I do agree that the population will drop later on because of disease and war, but that's not any better.

Just to get a sense of the acceleration of human population, it took until 1830 to get to one billion hungry humans on the planet. By 1950, there were three billion; by 2000, six billion.
Currently, every second five people are born and two die, adding three people every second.
If you've noticed the staggering and accelerating destruction of precious resources, habitat, and other species on the planet, as well as the effects on human health on poisoning his its own environment, you might be able to deduce that massive overpopulation it is not only a significant problem, it is the problem. - 2 years ago

In a sense your right, there is enough for everyone.
The planet can hold much more than 7 billion people, we just are not using our resources correctly nor are we using the right system (monetary system). if we use a resources based economy there is plenty to go around for everyone.

When the moral is down it is not the fault of those who are working but those who are in charge.
Governments are to be blamed when things are not going well. They make it possible for people to enjoy their country our to be pissed off. A country is only as happy as their government officials are.
If the government was a giver then the citizens would likely follow.
