A newly public video shows the moment of impact between the small plane and tourist helicopter that collided over the Hudson River in New York last weekend, killing nine.
The accident was caught on video Saturday by an Italian tourist who was practicing with a new camera. It was aired Thursday on "NBC Nightly News."
The video seems to show the small plane climbing and turning slightly before its wing is clipped by the helicopter's rotor blades. The plane can be seen overturning and falling toward the water.
One or more onlookers can be heard in the background, saying: "Oh my God! Oh my God!"
Officials have asked anyone with images of the crash to turn them over to investigators.
Three people on the plane and six on the helicopter died.

nice camera work... does the guy have a tremor disorder or something? And for future reference: when you are shooting something boring and then something major happens, you keep the camera on the event. As soon as the plane hits the guy whips the lens away... aaaargh!
