Ever been stung by a huge overdraft fee by your bank because of some minor purchase you made which put you under? Well the banks love it when you do that and they don't want you to stop.

    • Here is an idea. Don't go over your balance and you won't have fees put on you. Why should the bank bail you out because you refuse to balance your checkbook?

The point is that people are being automatically enrolled in these "benefits" without their consent. What if I just wanted to get a message at the cashier saying my transaction was denied rather than having to go under and pay an exorbitant fee to the bank? And is it really fair for them to charge $35 for a transaction that might put you under by just a couple of bucks?

    • This is an excellent example of how complacent the populace is. The people pay out billion upon billion of dollars in a DEPRESSION to save these business ,the banks gladly take the aid and as a thank you, makes overdraft fees nearly 3,000+% interest. The peoples response..? Same as any other time..time to make the dough-nuts; someone else will fix it; well it wont get fixed unless WE do it. Town halls are a waste of time because no consensus is binding. The emperor has no clothes.IMO
