Could Americans be falling asleep yet again?

President Obama needs to pull his noble, bi-partisan finger out of his ass, turn it into an iron fist and shove it down the lying, conniving, and wretched throats of the republican drug cartel.

Instead of allowing time for them to spin their lies or half truths about health care and the public option he should get this bill passed for the sake of the American people. We need it! Once it is in place it can be modified or molded as needed. The bumps will be smoothed out as we go. The republican drug cartel will continue to rob the wallets of the American people as long as the current health care program remains.

The American people never cease to amaze me on how so many can be so quickly turned into mindless idiots. They can become like a herd of sheep, blindly being led to slaughter. How can they be so easily fooled and swayed by the republican lie factory after such a brief pause from the most recent administration. This is literally mind numbing to me, not to mention appalling.

Americans, the republican agendas haven’t changed nor have their methods. Don’t fall asleep and wake up later and blame it on whomever you left in charge. This is also on your watch. Do your homework on this and hold your congressmen and congresswomen to task. Don’t forget, their pocket books are not your pocket books. Their health care isn’t your health care. Their health care is paid for and generally better than yours. Your best interest on this may not be theirs. ASSUMPTIONS can be costly!!!

Remember, lies and fear mongering is the republican weapon of choice. Don’t be fooled any longer.

    • have you ever sat and watched a republican congressional, speak to 'their public'. you can tell they don't believe their own lies, it's as if they've already cashed the check, and they have to look like they are at least putting in an effort. we all know most followers of the current republican party, are dead by lung cancer, were shot in the face by a friend while hunting, are too broke from healthcare, gas costs., and too confused to make it to the voting booth.
      i'll bet the only ones not yet offended, are white, over 60, men, who don't need to read anything, or leave the county they were born in,dammit!!
      yes there are still places no one wants to wake up, let alone be falling asleep again.

    • When we can get just this one fact through to the closed minds maybe they will understand. Right now every single person in America that has health insurance you are already paying 1,100 dollars for the uninsured a year. They go to the Emergency room when the finally get sick enough and do you think that is free? Thats why we need to change the profit and pay for being sick health care insurance.

      KennyM, makes another good point here. Another point not mentioned is how anyone on medicaid can go to the emergency room and their co-pay is three dollars. Medicaid is a government backed program so lets do the math on this one as well.

    • No we Americans did not fall asleep, half of us went back in time to the 50'S, a majority of us are brain dead and the few that remain all are marching to their own drummer. Not only is Obama dealing with the lies from the right wind, the repugs doing nothing to help the country, the blue dog demos having their own agenda, the liberals complaining they didn't get what they want and the rest of us doing nothing. Obama has worked to stimulate the economy but its not fast enough or good enoughj so thats a failure. But everyone forgets what he inherit from the Bush Administration and put the blame on him.You want health care but the spoilers show up at the town meetings 3 to our 1. Look at the polls in through out the world, our standing has increased not to the levels it was in the past but he has returned dignity and respect for the office here and abroad. He will not be able to accomplish anything unless we stand behind him and let the repugs, demos, mouth pieces at Fox Noise know that we want change and we elected this man to do it. Make you voice heard or go back to playing game boy.

      Our current health care is pathetic; I would even go so far as to say it is broke. The only difference is the American public are going broke to have it. In the last couple of years the premiums have more than doubled and the co-pays have tripled. Many of the prescriptions are no longer covered and these co-pays have also gone up.

      If you go to the emergency room for something deemed to be severe enough, it runs you or the insurance company at least $500.00 base cost. In many cases it may not be an emergency but not being a doctor many don't know til after the diagnosis and $500.00 +.

      I see this as severely broken. With the Obama plan, you can still keep your current plan if it suits you. It is your option. Oh, you can keep old grandma around too. There are no death panels contrary to the Alaskan prom queens declaration of mis-truths.

      With regards to your question about the links I gave above I do believe they are aimed more at accountability and giving information as to what this current administration is doing. That was one of Obama's campaign promises.

      Within the links are other links which will take you to many events so you can listen for yourself as to what was asked and what was given in response. There is no "cloak and dagger," stuff here, just being open and accountable which is in great contrast to the last administration.

      When it comes to keeping my own plan. Are you really foolish enough to believe that? Do you really not think that, at some point in time the GOV will make it so it is attractive to companies to drop their health care in favor of just paying a fine and letting the employees go onto a GOV run plan? Is that really what you think? The DNC has done their job on you and has moved on to others. They won't trick me.

      I noticed how you never commented on the race issue. Why do you think that people who are against obama are racists? I hated Bush I am white. Does that mean I am racist against white people? Quit playing the race card. Its people like you who help to keep racism alive.

      Here is the response to the racist issue you requested:
      When people in the town hall meetings cry out they "want their country back," what is it they want it back from? I haven't noticed that America has been moved any where nor has it been sold. The only thing different I see is a different politician trying to run it but he happens to be black. The only obvious conclusion is they want it back from the Black man.

      Granted, not all are of this opinion but you would be surprised at just how many are having issues with this very point.

      There are others who seem to liken him to Hitler, call him a socialist and Muslim with out a birth certificate. Some hatreds run deep and he hasn't done anything yet to merit the names. Other politicians have tried to do unpopular things and haven't drawn such names unfounded.

      Further more, I do not cause racism to stay alive. I try to expose it when ever I see it and trust me, I see it. I work with a bunch of racists and I must say, some of the conversations we have get pretty heated. Some of their thought processes are so archaic and uneducated. Much of what they profess is something they were taught either by their parents or by their religion and they generally have nothing to back up their opinions with other than they just know it.

      I just try to make them think or re-think their positions from a more open perspective rather than just because.

      Your "smartass elitist," comment is really quite defining; it essentially shows your lack of knowledge and ability to think for yourself. It was a catch phrase coined during the election and it was most certainly not by you.

      My posting was not meant to be thought of as news but rather as a reminder to those out there that seem to find complacency a comfort zone and a security blanket.

      You on the other hand need to go to a town hall meeting and vent some of your hate the "Black Man Stealing My Country" rhetoric.

      The politicians website you speak of happens to be the place to get the facts on what is trying to be done not what the health insurance backed republicans are force feeding to the southern comfort hillbilly types that couldn't even tell you who the last three presidents were. Most of them couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a hand full of rice.
